I did think it was quite odd to see a “congratulations on reaching Bronze, here’s a standard pack bundle offer for you”, when I end every season much much higher, even when I’m too busy to really focus on laddering.
Not to mention I have an entirely complete Standard collection, so there’s really no incentive for me to take them up on it. (Well, I guess I could bank the packs until Nathria, but it still feels weird.)

going by what ive seen the value seems to be better for higher ranks

That might be a good value, I’ll buy it and open after the next expansion releases. Didn’t manage to save much gold this expansion, and the fire festival was very underwhelming.
I see nothing wrong on it’s existence.

The problem is that video games are supposed to be a fantasy world to escape to, not a shopping mall to get trapped in, with new advertisements splashed directly onto your retinas every fifty feet you walk.

The point is, you don’t have to buy any of the crap they’re selling.
Now, if you had to close out a splash screen every time you logged in, like YouTube does a lot, or different “hubs” (cough)… sure, then it would be annoying.
In Diablo immortal I’m already tired of the notifications that there is something available to purchase. But, they are notifications, not splash screens.

I’d say the best value are the 20$ bundles with 20 packs and 2 legendary
They could actually try to sell old portraits, since there are many people who missed them.

are you willing to pay 10$ to have a chance of finding a legendary from ALL standard expansions?
You will probably find all commons and rares anyways from the usual packs you will open, don’t be fooled by the fact that standard packs contain also (and not only) new cards.
Any bundle without at least 1 guaranteed legendary outside of the packs is not convenient, imo.
Since bundles with guaranteed legendary aren’t utopic, but are pretty common, I would wait for it

Well, duplicate protection would apply, if they’re talking about banking them for Nathria. But I agree that guaranteed legendary bundles are better.

most expansions lately, standard packs normally provide 2 new legendaries
