Is there a way to filter for minion types (e.g. dragon) WITHOUT also getting the minions that do not have the type but refer to that type in the name or text box (e.g. dragonbane, nightbane templar etc.)
the following DO NOT WORK:
type:dragon
subtype:dragon
sub:dragon
miniontype:dragon
minion:dragon
class:dragon

Not that I know of. It doesn’t really matter does it? It doesn’t affect the filtering that much at all.
well, there is a quest “play 12 dragons” and it would be conveinient to filter for cards that are dragons.
same for the cards that have “if you have a dragon”
it is just incomprehendible that this kind of filter does not exist, because minion types (beasts, pirates, elementals, undead) play an important role in the game.
If you go to “My Collection” and type dragon in the search box, you get every dragon (including almalgams), and every card that has dragon in its text.
If you abbreviate dragon (or type dragons), you’ll see cards that have what you typed in their text, but you won’t get any dragon that doesn’t have what you typed in its text.
Searches for beast, pirate, elemental, undead, …, have similar behavior.
You can further narrow the search with text like: dragon rarity:rare.
Edit: At least in English, searches are not case sensitive, so
dragOn raRity:raRe
also works.
Edit2: This is the Singleplayer Discussion. Be aware that a “Play 12 dragons” quest probably requires you to play PvP (some multiplayer mode), although I’d also expect Mercenaries PvE to work.
Thank you for your reply, but I am not sure that you understood what I need.
I want a search that INCLUDES all minions with the dragon subtype, but EXCLUDES all cards without the dragon subtype, like Young Dragonhawk (which is a beast) and Netherspite Historian (which needs and provides dragons, but is no dragon)
The current search gives you a hodgepodge of dragons and cards with dragon in its name and cards that work with dragons, and thats of little use.
(I mentioned the 12 dragons quest to illustrate the problem, but apparently it only caused confusion)
The whole searching function of the collection manager is dubious, because there has not been an official announcement of search commands, at least not since 2018 (!)
