Hear me out, ice block needs a nerf

Ice block should be a “twice a game effect”

why? you may ask? I just played a game against a mage in wild, where the mage played not 1, not 2, but 7 ice blocks, no its now 8

his chances of winning are 0, and have been 0 since the start of the game

this secret should be secretly removed

im still playing…

he finally conceded after the 9th ice block and 3rd solid alibi

I guess I’m more curious about what type of deck he was running to get all those chances and still lose

he played a ton of rewinds, as I said tons of ice blocks, and his finisher was rommath to freeze my board?

I assume he was extremely unlucky and didnt draw anything he needed, but 9 ice blocks is insane

are we going to nerf the other cards that provide extra turns as well?
Rogue has their own. I believe Pally has something as well.

Jeez, that mage was desperate lol

Reminds me of a person that kept using Reno Jackson (the full heal one that is) on me but i eventually overwhelmed em with pirate warrior many moons ago

Might be worth running at least 1 card that takes care of enemy secrets, just in case

We need to nerf the card… because… it was played 9 times and the guy still lost?

ChiefJawa “logic.” It upset his OCD so it must be removed

The problem starts from taking Wild seriously. The format is extremely complex to balance; that’s because it has multiple times more cards and not all of them are weaker than various Standard cards; mathematically it’s not just a multiple times more complex problem but likely an exponentially harder problem.

I personally doubt they CAN balance it (at least given the resources they seem to be putting to the game); maybe the right algorithm can save them time; but it might be also inevitable to be imbalanced because of the wild(no pun intended) fluctuations within the real ladder given the extreme complexity.

Just destroy the secret, duh

No it doesn’t. Ice Block is one of the weakest Secrets. It could be put into the Core set and no one would use it because of how weak it actually is.

Just throw Curse of Agony x6 in their deck. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

this is the biggest lie ive ever read on any forum, and I frequient the overwatch forums too, so you know this is wild.

ice block is arguably the best secret ever, and playing against 9 is infuriating, even tho I beat the mage. It shouldnt be allowed

plus “twice per game” would still make it playable, it just wouldnt make it possible to play 10 of them in a game.

if only reborn paladin could do that xD

we odnt have to, beacuse those cards cant be infinetly copied unlike mage

time out is unplayable in wild

and rogues stealth cards also lowkey unplayable

I dont have any since they removed eater of secrets from core : (

and I aint gonna craft that

no we gotta nerf it because he played it 9 times and got unlucky

im sure if he drew any of his cards he wouldve won, but he only drew ice blocks, solid alibis, rewinds and grand magister rommath

Those mages who bring the infinite romath combo are a pain, but at least you can play the game…
you have to know when to give up,
to not waste time,
If you don’t have disruption left, or something that breaks secrets like zephrys, consider it lost…

IB doesn’t need a nerf. it gets played in one deck, that If you run disruption for, loses straight up.

there is no disruption for it tho

because all of the disruption is so utterly horrible, so nobody runs any

Disruptions cards are played a lot in legend wild right now
Im trying to make the octopus otk, and everyone disrupts it for me…

Dirty rat, theotar and mutanus works great against them for me as a paladin but shamans, druids and priests also use them…

But, dont worry im even using auras and spell blockers, in addition to loatheb in my aggro decks to hunt down specifically mages…

well specifically secret disruption is bad

the other disruption is really good
