Grand finale card for mages

8 Cost. summon an 8/8 elemental.
Repeat for every elemental you played last turn.
Sounds like crap to me but maybe it’s good.

I agree. This seems far too slow. It’s likely to suffer the same problem as Avalanche.

Inconspicuous Rider is a good Neutral for Secret Mage, at least.

3 mana 2/2 that casts a Secret from your deck when you play it.

Regarding Grand Finale, they’ll need to give us a bunch of cheap Eles somehow or this card is junk.

People are way too eager to call cards ‘too slow.’ Meanwhile I’m still having 20 turn games in Standard Ladder.

Lucky you. Unless you’re playing against Priest/Shaman or maaaaaybe Paladin, you aren’t doing that as a Mage.

What if you sit there at the defeat screen and pretend another 6-7 turns are going by? Would that count?

Problem is there is no mage ele deck out there. The card itself is not bad, even if it is slow.

(card is pwetty pwetty)

Summon like, 3 8/8s or whatever for 8 mana? Sounds great. The problem is that this is Elemental Mage support, when that hasn’t been supported at all this year.

Incredible card if there was some sort of Elemental package, but there isn’t. Elementals are beyond sparse. Sure, you can play this after a Mana Cyclone or Zephrys, and maybe you hit the jackpot and can play Mana Giant on the same turn. But if that was any good, Animated Avalanche would’ve seen tons of play already (this 1 out of 10 or so games chance of getting a third minion out of this won’t swing people).

You don’t want a card in your deck that only works in combination with less than a handful of cards in your deck, unless it does something amazing. Getting 16/16 in stats for 8 mana is really good but just not amazing enough for such an incredibly situational combo.

i talked about this in another thread. For years they have given classes pieces of decks only to abandon them next expansion. it makes no sense at all to me.

Tempo mage+Secret package could run

2X Violet Spellwing
2X Mana Cyclone
2X Cloud Prince
2X Steward of Scrolls
2X Mana Giant
MAYBE 2X Animated Avalanche

(Technically Chenvaala as well but I don’t see myself comboing her with this card.)

For elemental support depending on how much pay off mage gets for elementals. Though I can already see card space issues…

It’s one mana too expensive to be played in combo with Frost Nova. So it’s basically just stats and more stat if you can’t Incanter’s Flow either of them.

Basically it’s garbage unless there’s some great elementals in the pipeline.

I like it,i think its very good.
Its just stats yes,but its a lot of them.
There is an elemental package,2 more elementals revealed and both look good.

looks good in arena, bet arena now is gonna be huge late games with unkillable late game minions due to lack of removal

Seems they did something rare: they gave it good support. Confection Cyclone is a 2 mana 3/2 Fire Fly that gives 2 1/2 Elementals. Making it very easy to get 4 8/8’s out of this next turn.

Although the more I think about it, maybe there’s some kind of secret elemental spell c’thun deck?

Having cheaper c’thun pieces with a lot of draw sounds kind of decent?

I dunno.

Definitely, the additional Elementals make this look better.

If anything, the 2 cost elemental is crazy good tempo. This is icing on the cake.

So we got a 2 mana elemental, a 3 mana elemental, and a 5 mana elemental.

And we can generate a few 1 mana 1/2 sugar elementals.

Confection cyclone
Mage
Elemental

2 mana
3/2
Battlecry : Add two 1/2 Sugar Elementals to your hand.

Gyreworm
Neutral
Elemental

3 mana
3/2
Battlecry : If you played an Elemental last turn, deal 3 damage.

Firework Elemental
Mage
Elemental

5 mana
3/5
Battlecry : Deal 3 damage to a minion. Corrupt : Deal 12 instead
