Both of these depend on your current win/loss streak as well as how much money you have spent on the game. If you are on a win streak, every game the chance increases for the game to “screw you” so to speak. If you have not spent money on the game (or do not spend enough, regularly), this effect is amplified. It’s all part of the algorithm
Things can be true even if people dismiss them or make fun of them. Whether you believe how the game works or not, is irrelevant to how it actually works. The choice is yours.
I know, right? Thousands of people are saying the Earth is flat and it doesn’t matter what the scientist believe squeezes tinfoil hat harder on his head
Yea, I noticed the same thing too after returning after a 2-year break. I almost never mulligan into the same card again, whereas this used to be common 2 years ago.
With regards to point 2, that is essentially hand/deck smoothing which Magic Arena has, but I don’t experience this in HS as intensely as Arena.
Hilariously, it happened to me multiple times this week that I got back the second copy or drew it first draw from mulligan cards, which, ironically, hadn’t been happening for a while.
(I believe you were responding to me/discounting/misunderstanding what I said, so here is my reply)
Just because a group of people believe something, does not make it true. What is true is true. What is false is false. Whether someone believes true is false or false is true, is irrelevant. All that matters is what is. If I say something is true, and it is true, it does not matter what anyone believes. If the earth was flat, then it would not matter that the majority/scientists say it isn’t. Of course, the earth is not flat (based on our current understanding of reality), so to say it is flat, is false. So it must be discounted. Now, if you want to discount me and my words, despite being the truth, go ahead. I have no worry about it because again, the only thing that matters is the truth.
No, I want to discard your word because there is no convincing proof that they are true. When you say something as ridiculous as mulligan and draw order
you need pretty strong evidence. As Hitchens said : “The elementary rules of logic: that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and that what can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.”
You claims have no evidence hence they are easily dismissed. But don’t worry, it’s nothing personal, there is a heavy contingent of tinfoil hatters so you are not alone
You do not need to prove the elemental composition of the atmosphere to state truly that there is something that exists on this planet which allows us to breathe and live.
There is an overabundance of evidence, it is already proven, and if not proven, then it does not matter because it is the truth. Again, one does not need to know the elemental composition of our atmosphere to state truly that there is something that exists which allows us to breathe. The only thing that matters is what is.
I never do, certainly not because of you
That’s fine. If one does not want to accept truth or reality, it is not up to me to convince them of their error(s). I’m okay with that.
First, you have people who will claim nothing has changed, which should be the default since (afaik) Blizzard never announced any such changes.
Next you have Fenlius who confidently claims that based on their recent experience the game has “obviously” changed. Though phrases like “very little chance” and “mana-friendly” can’t be clearly defined and therefore any infrequent occurrence can be easily dismissed by them.
Then you have SuperCuddles who comes in and says…Yes, those things do happen, but you are wrong about why they happened. He then goes on to make astonishingly specific claims about why they actually happen while also remaining super vague by leaving out any numbers those claims would require. Bravo sir, well played.
As for me, I tend not to pay much attention to these events unless the deck I’m playing requires me to. For example I have a meme otk deck in wild I use to complete quests that requires multiple cards to still be in my deck when I cast Shudderwock. I can’t even tell you how frequently (or at least it seems to me) my hopes are dashed on turn 1 when I draw lol.
The numbers my “claims” “require”, again, are not necessary. Any more than it is necessary to know the specific atmospheric composition of earth, to know that such atmosphere allows its inhabitants to breathe and live.
Come one, of course THEY would not say nothing. THEY want to keep US in the dark. So THEY manipulate the perception of reality but WE know the TRUTH. Believe ME! I won’t show you proves but it’s SELF-EVIDENT and if you don’t see the TRUTH you are dumb.
BEN BRODE learned the TRUTH and he had to go to don’t anger THEM but WE KNOW.
Seems really strange you would mention them then if they aren’t even necessary.
Instead of making your entire initial reply just
You go out of your way to bring up
It’s one thing to believe the game is rigged against you based on your personal experience and even the additional testimonies of others. It’s another thing entirely to throw out all these very specific claims with zero numbers backing them.
Like, without any numbers how could you possibly know that all 6 of these are actually true at the same time?
The same way organisms living on this planet know that the atmosphere supports their ability to breathe and live, whether they prove it or not, it does not matter, all that matters is what is, aka truth/reality. That is to what I speak.
The organisms have no idea what breathing is let alone atmosphere. It’s humans who created those concepts, humans who did a lot of science backed with, you guess it, numbers.
Meanwhile you are saying: The game is rigged, I know so because I have seen it. If you have not seen it you are clueless.
I will quote to you an obnoxious Harvard graduate: Facts do not care about your feelings. And you bring a lot of feelings to the discussion but as to the facts you only bring: trust me bro.
