Golden zola but not in standard

I can see in my collection I have a wild gold zola and can disenchant it.

Why then in standard can I not put a gold zola in my deck?

zola the gorgon is from kobolds and catacombs. Which was ~4.5 years ago.

But is part of current core cards in standard, so it’s available to play in standard.

I suspect something is bugged.

You should have a standard golden copy if you own the wild one, but you are not the first poster I have seen report issues with.

Core golden legendary neutral cards are gated behind the win 5000 ranked games achieve, so it may be a bug related to the achievement check not letting you see it or something.

I would head to the bug forum and see what you can find.

Huh, didn’t know that. I had a feeling I was missing something.

Yeah, sounds like a bug. Standard and wild cards are two different entities iirc. Wouldn’t be surprised if they just forgot to create/turn-on the golden version.

I reported it on the bug forums the first or second day of the expansion.
It’s the same problem with Reno, Brann etc.
if you didn’t already have them golden prior to Sunken being released they can only be used in Wild.

So YEP: if your craft them golden right now, they are only for wild.

I have a golden Classic/Wild Cenarius and the golden copy shows normally on Standard collection, even though I have only 200 wins with Druid. Maybe there’s a bug, but here it’s fine.

Edit: I actually opened it two days ago. Is the issue just with the neutrals?

There’s definitely a bug here. I’ve posted in multiple threads regarding this issue, but can’t seem to get much, if any traction. Really would like to see it fixed, tho, as not only can you not use the golden cards in you collection in Standard, but in Arena either. Hoping to hear something soon.

Because it’s the wild version.

Only cards from the core set can be put in a standard deck.

The cards from the core set and from the wild set are different cards.
But you can unlock the Golden versions of core cards by leveling up your account.

I understand that. However, prior to the Sunken City update, as long as you had the Golden card in your collection, it would activate the Core set version to be played in Standard, whether or not you had the achievements that award them.

That’s not happening now. At least, not properly. That’s where the issue is.
