Just wondering, just made my first golden hero with 500 wins. Isn’t the golden hero suppose to make everything you summon golden? I thought that was what it does? Because mine does not summon any minions into golden ones, or is that just a few types?
No. Only Golden cards will do that. The reward for 500 wins is simply an animated version of that Hero.

No, only paladin will spawn golden recruits from hero power. Other hero powers don’t summon.

Thanks guys, I thought all cards played turned to golden for some reason. Must been a few golden players I played had all golden cards then, pretty sweet.
A golden hero has a golden hero power, which means anything you create with the hero power is golden. Paladins summon golden Silver Hand Recruits, shamans create golden (basic) totems, rogues equip a golden Wicked Knife. (And if you play a golden hero card, same deal–a golden Deathstalker Rexxar card gives you a golden Build-a-Beast power, which creates golden Zombeasts.)
But regular cards you play aren’t affected.

They were probably playing with a gold Whizbang the Wonderful or Zayle, Shadow Cloak (cards which give you an entire deck). If your Zayle or Whizbang card is golden, you play with a golden hero and an all-golden deck.
