Gameplay too slow

theres been an increase of slow players. These maybe kids or other
but the game experience is suffering as a result. Unless you are multitasking and doing something else while playing, the game gets boring fast.

the matchup system should match up fast players with fast player / slow with slow
change the timer > make it like competitve chess > a lump some of time that can be used that accummulates time with each round. Time saved in rounds adds more time to pool that can be used in later rounds.

There is a turn limit. Everyone has the right to use the time as they see fit. Some people actually need all that time to make their plays, some are being douchey bc they thinks it’s fun, some don’t intend to use that much time but the mobile app is garbage (freezes/crashes/has visual bugs pop up all the time), some may have had a call/text come in, or just life in general.

Those who legit need the time shouldn’t be punished bc you are impatient.

Because they know people like you are the majority. Half the time people will concede by turn 5 if you just play slow enough. You just out wait your opponents, especially people who play turn 5 decks. If they can’t kill you by turn 5, and you use the full timer every turn, they quit. Easy win against people who have the patience of a gnat.

Since when 20 seconds is considered a lot? :joy:

At the very least since Usain Bolt ran the 100 in a nonchalant 9.58 seconds!

The biggest culprit is rogue imo, too many decisions.

Not in my experience. Rogues have a plan and tend to execute it directly.

Mage and priest stand out for slow play. Mage has four cards and still takes near the rope.

Oh no, conflicting observational data requires a controlled study to determine the facts.

Since beginning of gaming, but obviously you ain’t on that level of experience yet.

No.

Just learn to be patient.

And if you’re so good at this game, and you’re bored, learn to cook while playing it! You will raise your value all around if you learn how to really cook good.

And if THAT gets boring, try to cure cancer between ropes, you sound like a genius so this shouldn’t be hard for you.

Now, get to work.

Paladins tend to take a long time with recasting the 0 cost libram on EVERY, SINGLE, MINION…

There have been plenty of times where it took me the entire turn to execute complicated plays, a few times the rope ended too soon.

I don’t think we need a time adjustment… except maybe selecting the initial mulligan cards, that seems to take FOREVER…

The game is so boring that most people fall in sleep while playing / watching youtube videos on the side

If it’s taking too long just quit. I use the whole allotted time given by the game each turn as a strategy to annoy and make people waste time especially vs classes I know I have no chance in beating, priest, Druid, poison rogue especially.

ah you one of those… if you have no change in beating them (in your opinion) either consede or try win being an $%@$%@ by slowplaying and roping makes you the bad player…

If you REALLY need a win… like, it’s gonna push you to tier 5 so you don’t slip back down…

MAKE THE OPPONENT WAIT

Screw it.

I can tell you… as a person who sneaks games in at work, whether at my desk, or on the toilet… if you make me wait, I’m gonna /concede.

Don’t underestimate the power of the time you are given between turns.

Everyone who now hates me for sharing this… these are the people you will beat, lol…

Edit: As my 1st sentence states, I only recommend this when its a absolutely needed win, otherwise yer kind of a dewshe.

nobody needs to win, it a crappy move regardless of how justified you feel by some hatred for certain decks or being close to a rank floor.

I will use the tools provided to me in the game.

All I’m reading is “I’m impatient and I think the game needs to adjust to me”.

As an old MTG player i have a nasty habit of taking my turns as fast as humanly possible. Think through your turn on your opponents turn. What will he do? If he does this, ill do that. Then its my turn and i know my hand and just slam through the turn and hit end turn.

This is because in MTG you get punished for taking too long. Just like in chess.

There’s a difference between actually taking all the time to keep playing and roping till the last second to throw out the quest card on turn 1 though.

Like, no-brainer much?
