Rake and yogg gets nerfed, which are pretty much keycards for wild t1 decks…
They’re nerfing yogg, prison breaker, rake, and embrace of nature. How in the hell does that not count as hitting stuff in tier 1?

Yes of course, hunter is tier 1 because of Yogg, not because they do around double the damage they should be able to do. /S
It’s an afterthought to them. A cool way to have extra fuel or get a board clear.
Besides, paladin and treant druid don’t have any of those cards. Not to mention all the other aggro decks they aren’t doing anything about.
I mean I think there’s lots of healthy buffs/nerfs they should make to the game.
Celestial Shot should be “this turn”. I think just nerf Horn of the Windlord into the ground. (I love losing to a 12 damage 2 card combo from Paladin, it’s great) Navigating through like 8 Hunter secrets which are all super impactful and all do wildly different things with completely different triggers is so great. And of course while you’re doing backflips while balancing on one foot while not playing 3 cards in one turn, they’re punching you in the face with spells. And if you don’t play around those secrets, they just do even more damage.
At this point Hunter can do about 45 damage from hand with like 8 cards. I think I’m being modest there. Mage can do more.
Reverberations is a bizarre card to keep where it’s at knowing the titans were on the way. Also how is this card 3 mana. How.
I’m just sick of how high the lethality is, how many decks are literally just big, bottomless pits of discover. The number of high tempo clears that also go face. It gets frustrating after like 2-3 games.
The aggro decks in of themselves don’t bother me too much. And this is one of those annoying metas where you can’t really tech vs. these hardcore aggro decks and the greedy control decks simultaneously.
We should be at 50 starting health with this absurd meta, WITH a reno effect for all classes except maybe priest because they should be deleted. And they wouldn’t even give us a full 40 health with Renathal. It’s insane.
The discover decks aren’t even close to meta unless you are talking about mage. Fun decks full of discover minions usually lose. Minions are understated and don’t have taunt, and don’t help vs aggro.
I could put every single removal card in the game into my warlock deck and still get steamrolled by aggro. That should never happen. Decks made to beat aggro should win most of the time, not struggle just to get a win.
No matter what deck you play. It’s a common misunderstanding in this game.
If the algorithm wants you to lose, you get matched against a hardcounter with perfect draw and “rng” anyway.
I feel that this take of yours is too harsh because…
Games should end, like war and build-up and even “checkers” or “chess”, a clear winner is determined fast, usually. Games are better when they are simple, but having some depth is important too.
