Game did not register damage and kept killing last opponent over a few times before I left. We still won but it was strange. Seemed like a bug.

This is an old bug in Battlegrounds, where players can see different outcomes of a match.
Each player takes the amount of damage that they see on their own screen.
Your opponent saw themselves win the match, so they took no damage.
