Fyrakk was the card i was most excited about when the mini-set came out. However, it has been shown to be a 9 mana over draw yourself, Eat the Imp your minion (especially Fyrakk), not clearing opponents minions, and generally being underwhelming.
Solution: give it the Khadgar “helpful” spells instruction. That way it won’t draw if you don’t need it, summon with no room, or Flame Strike an empty board. Plus add, “if Fyrakk dies this turn, summon two copies of Fyrakk”. That way the infamous Fyrakk kills himself with Eat the Imp, would actually be a positive.
*Double down Update: I just realized Fyrakk ability reads, “spells at random enemies”. Eat the imp (and fire spells that can’t interact with enemies) needs to be removed from Fyrakk’s spell pool. It’s not a “spells at random enemies” spell.
Added Edit Now after the new Lost City expansion, new fire spells have been added. I see less Eat the Imp and over drawing you deck. So maybe adding more to the pool of fire spells was the fix.
The buff spells hits YOUR minions, unless you get bad luck and you get enough eat the imps to empty your board.
Stuff like that is why players who DO run Fyrakk only use him as a last resort/hail mary, not to be used soon as they have the mana

I tried to play it several times. It always, without exception, overdrew me, and killed my minions and itself. Garbage card, soon to be 400 dust.

Fyrakk is part of EVERY single deck I play
Best of all those decks has 68% winrate in 63 games
It’s a pretty good card. I play it in 3 situations:
a) ahead of curve (rogue, druid or other class with coin) - almost always when I can
b) when I need to clear opponent’s board, and
c) on empty board as a tempo play
I can’t imagine playing an aggro or midrange deck without it, although I can clearly see how it would be smarter to replace it with a low-cost card for the aggro decks
Or at least, it would seem smarter, but if it is, I’m not convinced.

yet another: “My pet deck lost” thread.
I think they are asking for the card to be buffed when its already strong. Which is crazy. Sure some random luck may not be in their favor but it’s not a weak card by any means.

We must be playing a different game.
Not a single opponent who has played this against me hasn’t wiped my board completely, drew like 6 cards and did close to 10 damage to my face minimum.
I’ve never seen it be a complete downside.

I’ve seen it fail for my opponent only once, it wiped all other minions, did about 10 face dmg, buffed twice, then got eat the imp’d

The only way to make yogg style cards remotely balanced is the chance of catastrophic failure xD

I’ve played 3 games where Fyrakk killed my opponent after they played it. One game my opponent had a good board and i had next to nothing. I was just conceding, but my opponent played Fyrakk right before i conceded. I couldn’t understand why i still had to watch Fyrakk animations; I conceded! It was because Fyrakk cast Hellfire(s) and killed my opponent and i got the win.

I had titan Yogg cast Wheel of Death on several occasions on the first ability activation, pretty much a “You Lose” moment right there

It’s supposed to be immune to fire spells how about it just doesn’t die to that?

Immune prevents damage and can’t be targeted by spells/hero powers, it doesn’t protect against destroy effects
Their need to be negative outcomes or else the card is not only too good, it also loses the appeal and fun-factor when you do pop-off with the highroll.
You cant have the highs without the lows

It’s a perfectly fine card IMO. Impactful but not game ending unless you are low enough to get taken out by a few dmg points.
Absolutely!
That’s literally what makes Fyrakk so strong. It’s obvious from playing it a few times how good it is, but if it didn’t sometimes result with negative outcomes, it would be much, much worse becase:
a) it wouldn’t be as a fun,
b) it would get nerfed.
Either way, what Hege said is the most important thing for this topic, followed by my post explaining when to play it

It’s probably going to get a nerf anyway, SOMEONE will complain about it enough, or the devs will do another unneeded nerf

Yeah, if the new cards turn out to be underwhelming, heads will roll

I would be very surprised if this card gets a nerf. I have played it and had it played on me numerous times and i see pretty much the same result constantly. You end up overdrawing and in some cases quite a few cards not just 1 or 2. To even play this card you better have a mostly empty hand or you are going to burn up a significant portion of your deck.
