Frost plague did not reduce weapon created by Ignis

Played a game where it comes down to opponent playing the 10-cost Ignis weapon at 10 mana. Opponent topdeck a Frost plague which should increase that weapon by (1). However the weapon still cost 10 and ultimately lost the game due to snowball.

Let us know if this is not the case for Frost plague interactions since it reads “Your Next Card” and not specifics like “Spell”, “Weapon” or “Minion”. Thanks

Did you miss the part where frost plague says “Your next card costs (1) more (up to 10)?”

If the card already costs 10 or more, it won’t increase the cost.
