Dear Whales and Dolphins,
Please do not buy any Runestones. Support the peasant like myself.
Runestone kills our gold. Peasants like me farm gold and buy from dollar menu to just get by.
Now the King wants to kill us peasants. Please, do not let the King prevail.

I like how there’s options in the shop to buy
the battlepass with real money or real money with extra steps
I also like how whales are giving hundreds and hundreds of $ each year to this game. Thanks for supporting this small indie game company.

But how does it kills the gold?
It doesn’t kill the gold, but many things that you used to be able to purchase with gold are now gone.

Unfortunately Im not certain whales are wise enough to regard your request with the gravity it deserves. If they did, they wouldn’t blow so much money on a game from a company that time and time again has been guilty of predatory and anti-consumer practices. Plus, its completely unnecessary, but there are still blizzard fan-sheep, who will spend exorbitant sums to get nothing.

That alone kills the entire game mode for us.
I bought one thousand Runestones last night.

Yeah I bought the $80 package just to have them for any future stuff later down the line. Kinda tired of the bandwagon of “Stop supporting big business”, and similar soapboxes from this outlet and others. Clearly the rest of the world does -not- influence enough for them to suddenly recoil back, give a reward/gift for people who did buy Runestones before they removed it, and went back to flat money and gold purchases.
If any of you dislike the company, or the game, stop playing; stop whining, stop sitting here and soapboxing (The irony I’m doing abit by saying all that). Play Final Fantasy, play Runeterra, play MTGA, you all have so many options to spend your money elsewhere to waste time.
Stop wasting the same time slamming to the brick wall that isn’t crumbling, or weakening, but more reinforcing and spraying your viscera off with a hose.

Dont need runestones if you dont care about useless cosmetics. taps forehead
Or if you want a level playing field with paying customers in a supposedly F2P game…

Everything still costs the same.
Shadowverse has a similar paid currency.

To be fair, each expansion I easily get 50+ packs with the Rewards Track if I keep up on daily/weekly quests, in just gold.
Blizzard did need to reword their patch notes on how Packs can be bought still with gold better, because they made it sound like it still could only be one at a time.
Still one of the cheapest hobbies one can possibly have
First they came for the gold, and I didn’t speak out, because I didn’t use gold…

Some ppl have more money than common sense.
This is just the beginning. Eventually everything will cost runestones and gold will be phased out. The game is headed away from any aspect of f2p at all.

Some whale’s stoped spending since immortal was out. I have a budget of around 1.8k 2k a month spreaded around on 8 to 9 games. But since immortal i stoped spending on blizzard, first time since 2009 when i didng renew my wow subscription. And so did more than half of my guild. We mostly migrated to Warframe. We are still shocked you can trade premium curency there, so if you farm expensive stufs you can basicaly buy all premium content just farming. Will take you a year but you’ll be full cosmetics and everything just by farming

I have been free to play, I only used gold to buy packs etc…, when BG came out I would only play standard as a way to get the 2500 (currency) to get more gold. When I got my 2k gold I would buy the BG pass and never touch the progression again. Now that the progression is useless I’m not doing any other play modes at all. So for anyone who found BGs fun, gold is useless and therefore any other mode of play as well.
That is really a good game.
Even if at first you have weapon/warframe slots locked, tou can farm a lot of premium currency by trading.
I don’t exaggerate when I say that I got more than 10k platinum by trading (to put things in perspective, a warframe slot costs 20, a fully built one if you don’t like farming costs 300).
And on top of that they actually put stuff on sales by giving 50% or 75% coupon to use on most cosmetics, unlike hs who is still selling old adventures for their full price
