Hello boys, since a couple of months (8+ actually) I am no more able to interact with my friend in hearthstone menu except of sending him messages. Whenever he connects to Hearthstone on his Android phone or via his PC, his status is always “Away”, so I can’t invite him to any game. Relaunching/Clearing cache/Reinstalling the game doesn’t help at all… This is kinda annoying, could you please help? Thanks in advance.
Your friend probably left their status as away on the Battle.net destkop app. Once they change that, it should update the mobile status as well.

No way! Got my friend his status checked, it has always been Online on his desktop app.
The desktop app has its own Region selector and status is set per region. Check the current connected Region by click on the BattleTag top right of the app.
Change to desktop app Region at the login screen.
We are both on Americas (we play from Europe 
but we already have nice collections on NA servers). We just re checked, we are both on PCs, I can see him connecting to the game but for me his status is still “Away”… he is able to invite me to games though…
If you both just sit in the desktop app do you see each other on the friend list of the desktop app?

Well… I am “Online” and I see him as “Away”. He sees himself as “Online” and doesn’t see me in his friend list at all 
Even though I am sending him messages… Weird stuff!
Have both of you log out of the desktop app. Check the Region selected on the login screen and log back in. Compare Regions from the login screen.
Edit: Have your friend select Busy under their BattleTag then back to Online to see if that resets it.
