I am curious, have any of you found ways to deal with the decks? What so far works? Do you have to go aggro? Or for Mage, big spell?
Hero classes have highlander - mage and hunter are using it to good effect
Why do people think that this is a valid argument?
Everyone got Zephrys and Alexstraza, the primary Highlander cards.
Yes, but the hero classes have highlander class legendaries.
Iām not saying itās fair between good and evil classes, Iām saying that is what was done
They also have side quests, which serve a similar purpose as Invoke. Whether these are equivalent (or even comparable) in terms of balance is a different question though.

In Standard the only common Highlander decks are Hunter and Mage and the only other decks commonly using a Highlander card (but not Highlander) have been Druid (Elise) and Paladin (Zephrys).
So while they were not specifically built for the āheroā classes in practice, in Standard, all the Highlander usage has been in the Hero classes and Hunter and Mage are doing decently well atm.
There have been Highlander decks in Standard for pretty much every one of the EVIL classes (the only one I donāt think Iāve seen at all in Standard is Priest, but Wild Reno Priest has used Zephrys), though only Warrior and Zoolock were potentially strong enough to make it onto the radar of things like the VS reports.
Donāt all āheroāsā need to fight a superior ābad guyā and just win solely by āplot armorā or the power of Friendship?
the moment you play dragonqueen alexstrasza, you win the game unless you re against a very control oriented deck.
Its basiclly only Galakrond in Shaman that really is over the top Priest for example is pretty bad and Priest is dead last in the meta. Its not even close to number 8.
Are we going to act like Elise, Reno, Brann do not matter in the few Highlander decks that exist in Standard, which are, guess what, all from the non E.V.I.L. classes?
None of the class Highlander legendaries are as strong as Zephrys. Weāll need to wait a bit to see how they measure up against DQ Alexstrasza. So, yes, some of them are good, but thatās not the same as saying that only the Hero classes got Highlander cards.
All of the EVIL classes have the ability to run Zephrys and DQ Alex with their full power. But for the non-EVIL classes, Kronx is just a vanilla 6/6.
There is a big difference between giving a some classes additional support for an archetype that is available to every class (Highlander) and giving some classes exclusive access to the biggest mechanic in an expansion (Galakrond).
Add this to all the focus on Lackeys this year, which are almost completely confined to the EVIL classes as well, and the actual focus seems to be rather lopsided.
All nine classes got quests and Highlander.
Only the EVIL classes got Lackeys and Galakrond/Invoke.
Dinotamer Brann has both the highest played and highest drawn win rate in Highlander Hunter which makes it the best card in the deck.
In Highlander Mage, the highest played winnrate is Alexstraza, followed by Dragonqueen Alexstraza; but the highest drawn win rates are tied between Reno and Zephyrs.
Until the nerfs play shaman or dont bother.
Highland good⦠Okay Shaman I will take your galrond⦠Here have FIN
Are we gonna act like Finley was never used as anything other then a 2 mana 2/3 murloc
If he had text that said ⦠Starts in opening hand⦠Then he might ⦠MIGHT do something
Finley.
When you play Murlocs against Highlander decks and you play Fishflinger on curve so you can lose even harder.
Yeah, Paladin is kinda cursed with the short end of the stick when it comes to multiclass themes - Grimy Goons remember.
Ironically, I guess, Paladin got the best of that horrible gang >.>
