Is Ice blood Tower for mage the worst 10 drop ever? Can’t remember any 10 drops as bad from other classes? Getting this card at random from Rune of the Archmage feels horrible. It’s useless once you have exhausted your resources, seems to “low roll” with Darkfire amulet often. Casting a copy would have made this slightly better and playable being you want be burning all your spells from your deck when you opponent knows it will happen.
Nah, Millhouse and Aviana still have it beat!
Nope, Millhouse was actually good in Paladin a couple of years ago… When he was recruited to board.
This gets my vote easy and i own the card:
Iceblood Tower for all its flaws saw play this card can only dream .
Nope, lady prestor made this card playable
Lady Prestor works with the whole pool of Dragons.
Iceblood Tower made it on many decks by CHOICE not by some random generation effect.
Emeriss is a card that goes against the whole philosophy of play of the class its in.
Ice Blood Tower has a place in Mage that card doesnt belong in Hunter.
If you build your deck REALLY specifically, Ice Blood tower is okay.
But there’re better builds for big spell mage.
Void Contract sends a postcard from its indefinite vacation
I faintly remember playing Emeriss in a Big Dragon Hunter deck, discovered(?) a copy of it and buffed my win condition into a 32/32 charge King Krush - poor Priest let me play to turn 12+
Honestly, it was (MarkMcKz style) a one out of ten, but satisfying nonetheless.
Yeah I wish they swapped its cost with Rune of the Archmage, or just buff it to 8-mana so Arcane Brilliance can copy something.
Well it is bad in standart because it plays the card in the deck and not a copy of it. you literally wasting your valuable big spells.
Well you are relying on rng when you cast “Rune of the Archmage”, so don’t cry when you don’t get the ‘perfect hits’. It is generally good and that is why its used, but often it won’t use the most useful spells.
There are a lot of helpful spells in mages pool but they are mainly state dependent (state of the current game like board etc, what needs to be done in order to not die from your POV), pulling them at random is a risk that you chose to go with (or from the sounds of it, you copied a deck and are unhappy that it is not performing its best often).
Emeriss saw some play. Mostly to make king Krush a 16/16
I still wouldn’t place iceblood tower as among the worst cards ever.
Millhouse and Duskfallen Aviana generally just help your opponent. Mage already had a really bad expensive spell far worse than iceblood.
Never forget Glacial Mysteries!
Topic is about 10 mana class cards so no i didnt forget about that spell.
I have 2 copies of it never used it .
Under that restriction, I’d probably have to go with Doom as being worse.
If they could afford to buff big spell mage, then making Ice Blood Tower 8 mana is actually a good idea.
Any time people whine about how stingy and expensive the game is, I’m reminded of the good old days before legendary duplicate protection, when I pulled Millhouse four out of my first seven Legendaries.
Do not even speak to me about Millhouse.
Favorite WoW character, least favorite hearthstone one.
