My List / Predictions:
- Death Knight (Strong)
Renathal Blood Death Knight. Nothing Rotates. This set doesn’t really give any of the classes high lethality or inevitability. Current high lethality cards rotate: Brann, Phylactery, and MailboxDancer(DrakasEnabler). The most lethal thing left is like Rivendare or Vexallus. Dirty Rat/Patchwerk easily snipe Vexallus.
Frost Death Knight is playable and strong.
Unholy Death Knight is playable.
- Priest (Strong)
Renathal Priest is the only playable Priest deck.
30 Card Priests are all copium.
- Paladin (Strong)
Aggro Paladin = Strong.
All other Paladin decks = unplayable.
- Mage (Maybe Strong, Probably Hopium)
Arcane Mage. This is may be hopium. The defensive tools look like trash. You don’t need defensive tools if Renathal Death Knight/Priest push Aggro out of the Meta. Should be able to kill any Warlock or Shaman Deck relatively easily because the Draw Speed is high. Killing Renathal Death Knight/Priest might be a question of whether Dirty Rat/Patchwerk/Plaguespreader hit Vexallus. Mozaki Mage used to fairly comfortably even when Mozaki was Mutanus’d because of Ignite. I think Discovering a bunch of 3 mana Lightshows is plausible and they can get up to like 8-12+ damage each.
- Warlock (Maybe Strong, Probably Decent)
Slime Warlock is probably still weak, but it can beat Renathal Death Knight/Priest.
The new Fatigue Cards might be combined with Abyssal Curses as a Midrange Burn Deck. It could kill some decks, but I think it loses to Renathal Death Knight/Priest.
- Shaman (Trash Deck, but it beats Renathal)
Big Shaman is the only playable Shaman deck. I think it’s a weak deck, but it can easily beat Renathal Death Knight/Priest. Primordial Wave can handle Paladin and other things like Rivendare.
- Hunter (Really Mediocre)
Can win games, but it’s probably too slow of a deck.
- Rogue (Probably Unplayable)
I think this new Hip Hop Rogue won’t end up working and I think Bounce Effects suck unless you’ve been chucking down value at the pacing of 6-Set Thief Rogue. Compared to everything else I’m ranking low, this might actually end up being really strong.
Thief Rogue loses Stash, so I think it won’t work.
Old Miracle Rogue loses Mailbox Dancer which is probably needed to make Necrolord Draka work. RIP Mailbox Dancer.
- Demon Hunter (Unplayable)
Demon Hunter is basically Lifesteal + Smack opponent while drawing cards. That’s good vs some classes like Warlock, but it doesn’t develop stats on board. If your not developing stats on board and don’t have a Big Jace Darkweaver, it probably doesn’t work.
- Warrior (Unplayable)
The unevolved form of Death Knight. Death Knight is packed with subsidized discover cards. Call to Stand is already in Core as Dirty Rat for some reason.
Maybe Tony Warrior will end up being broken. I think it would just end up getting tech’d against.
- Druid (Unplayable)
Doesn’t have AOE at all after losing Spammy Arcanist. Ramp is back to normal after losing Broken Guff. Brann doesn’t exist to 3-card otk on turns 7-8 anymore. Good luck Hero Power’ing people down…
If Renathal and Dirty Rat didn’t exist maybe some kind of Tony Druid would be fun like Toggwaggle Druid.
I have combo-lover bias. Decks I’m trying week 1:
- Mage: Arcane Mage. Casino Mage.
- Warlock: Burn Warlock. Slime Warlock.
- Priest: 30 card Thief Priest with Rivendare.
- Druid: Tony Druid.
- Rogue: Record Scratcher Miracle Rogue. Hip Hop Burn Rogue.
