  8. __________.
  9. __________.
  10. __________.
  11. __________. Weak

^ Overall Power Ranking = (How strong are the class’ prospects based on the entire standard card pool?)

My List / Predictions:

  1. Death Knight (Strong)

Renathal Blood Death Knight. Nothing Rotates. This set doesn’t really give any of the classes high lethality or inevitability. Current high lethality cards rotate: Brann, Phylactery, and MailboxDancer(DrakasEnabler). The most lethal thing left is like Rivendare or Vexallus. Dirty Rat/Patchwerk easily snipe Vexallus.

Frost Death Knight is playable and strong.

Unholy Death Knight is playable.

  1. Priest (Strong)

Renathal Priest is the only playable Priest deck.

30 Card Priests are all copium.

  1. Paladin (Strong)

Aggro Paladin = Strong.

All other Paladin decks = unplayable.

  1. Mage (Maybe Strong, Probably Hopium)

Arcane Mage. This is may be hopium. The defensive tools look like trash. You don’t need defensive tools if Renathal Death Knight/Priest push Aggro out of the Meta. Should be able to kill any Warlock or Shaman Deck relatively easily because the Draw Speed is high. Killing Renathal Death Knight/Priest might be a question of whether Dirty Rat/Patchwerk/Plaguespreader hit Vexallus. Mozaki Mage used to fairly comfortably even when Mozaki was Mutanus’d because of Ignite. I think Discovering a bunch of 3 mana Lightshows is plausible and they can get up to like 8-12+ damage each.

  1. Warlock (Maybe Strong, Probably Decent)

Slime Warlock is probably still weak, but it can beat Renathal Death Knight/Priest.

The new Fatigue Cards might be combined with Abyssal Curses as a Midrange Burn Deck. It could kill some decks, but I think it loses to Renathal Death Knight/Priest.

  1. Shaman (Trash Deck, but it beats Renathal)

Big Shaman is the only playable Shaman deck. I think it’s a weak deck, but it can easily beat Renathal Death Knight/Priest. Primordial Wave can handle Paladin and other things like Rivendare.

  1. Hunter (Really Mediocre)

Can win games, but it’s probably too slow of a deck.

  1. Rogue (Probably Unplayable)

I think this new Hip Hop Rogue won’t end up working and I think Bounce Effects suck unless you’ve been chucking down value at the pacing of 6-Set Thief Rogue. Compared to everything else I’m ranking low, this might actually end up being really strong.

Thief Rogue loses Stash, so I think it won’t work.

Old Miracle Rogue loses Mailbox Dancer which is probably needed to make Necrolord Draka work. RIP Mailbox Dancer.

  1. Demon Hunter (Unplayable)

Demon Hunter is basically Lifesteal + Smack opponent while drawing cards. That’s good vs some classes like Warlock, but it doesn’t develop stats on board. If your not developing stats on board and don’t have a Big Jace Darkweaver, it probably doesn’t work.

  1. Warrior (Unplayable)

The unevolved form of Death Knight. :face_with_peeking_eye: Death Knight is packed with subsidized discover cards. Call to Stand is already in Core as Dirty Rat for some reason.

Maybe Tony Warrior will end up being broken. I think it would just end up getting tech’d against.

  1. Druid (Unplayable)

Doesn’t have AOE at all after losing Spammy Arcanist. Ramp is back to normal after losing Broken Guff. Brann doesn’t exist to 3-card otk on turns 7-8 anymore. Good luck Hero Power’ing people down…

If Renathal and Dirty Rat didn’t exist maybe some kind of Tony Druid would be fun like Toggwaggle Druid.

I have combo-lover bias. :person_shrugging: Decks I’m trying week 1:

  1. Mage: Arcane Mage. Casino Mage.
  2. Warlock: Burn Warlock. Slime Warlock.
  3. Priest: 30 card Thief Priest with Rivendare.
  4. Druid: Tony Druid.
  5. Rogue: Record Scratcher Miracle Rogue. Hip Hop Burn Rogue.

Is there a way to sort cards in a finder somewhere so I can just see every card in the year of the wolf + the new expansion for each class? It is so annoying to just go trying to figure out manually what is going to be in and what is not, and without a clear bigger picture view of it all It’s hard to figure this out

Mage and rogue gonna be tier 1 and i kinda doubt they not get nerf in less than 2 weeks.

Aggro mage just looks broken after looking all cards and rogue cards feel like they’re made in another powerlevel standard regarding individual Power.

Not that I know of.

I use the https://hearthstone.blizzard.com/en-us/cards website Card Library and Deckbuilder.

When Festival of Legends launches the card pool will be made of:

  1. Year of the Wolf cards
  2. Year of the Hydra cards
  3. The New Core Set. (we get a new core set every year)

This page shows which expansion is which year: https://hearthstone.blizzard.com/en-us/expansions-adventures

Year of the Wolf = Festival of Legends is the only Expansion in it so far. More come later in the year.

Year of the Hydra = Sunken City. Murder at Castle Nathria. March of the Lich King.

New Core Set = Old Core Set with the adjustments in these images below, The Card Library is not updated with it.

Heropower-Druid: Nature will rise upon you!

Tony Druid, what? You have Tony up for a turn and then it dies and things go back to normal.

Use Widowbloom Seedsman to draw Dew Process as the only Nature Spell.

Play [Tony, King of Piracy] + [Sir Finley Sea Guide] to take 9/30 of the opponents cards.

I don’t expect it to work, but I want it to.

Crazy to make a prediction where druid, rogue and hunter, classes that are always near the top, are the bottom 3. I’ll surely feel very stupid when proven wrong.

The loss of Brann is huge for druid and rogue, plus druids are losing their best cards (Guff, Onyxia/scales, earthen scales, jerry rig, druid of the reef, spammy). They might focus on the token/hero power stuff from now on. Rogue is losing mailbox dancer and the deathrattle package and will heavily rely on secrets to win. Hunter is losing quest, rat king, mama bear, tavish, barak… I don’t know how it will piece together the rest of its kit, the big beast stuff doesn’t impress me at all.

I think Druid, Paladin, Priest and DK stay at the top probably, but I think that might be recency bias. Pure Paladin is just such a sleek deck. Same with Frost DK and Shadow Priest.

Everything else will be below that. I don’t really know where.

Hunter, Rogue and Demon Hunter like pulling tier 1 decks out of nowhere, though. I feel like just running aggro DH is just gonna be good. Outcast DH looks really strong too.

God I hope miracle rogue dies, but if all that rotates out of miracle rogue is mailbox dancer, that is not enough to kill it. Drakka wins games, not doubt, and her strongest combo is with mailbox dancer, but there were entire metas filled with concotion rogues that were the only T1 deck for long periods of time, and those decks did not run Drakka nor mailbox dancer. So, here’s to hoping something else kills miracle rogue.

In terms of thief rogue, I’d like to point out that as long as Tess is not rotating (AFAICT seems to be the case) thief rogue is more than okay, especially with all the additional bounce + discount effects, as well as the insane legendary spells that could repeat endlessly (for example the warlock spell.)

Unrelated to the above, I’m pretty sure the hero power druid cards are insanely overtuned for both infinite value and tempo and that deck will probably just destroy everything and anything out the door. Gaining 10 attack and armor per hero power use is just insane.

Edwin rotates. That is the decks highest mulligan WR and highest drawn WR card.

As a WC3 player, I’m always excited for Unholy Death Knight even though I’m not much of an aggro lover. Death Growl looks absolutely busted with Eggs. Maybe some midrange build with Cage Head will be strong too. Aside from that, Warlock was the first class I picked up back in classic and I’m really excited for the new stuff. Legendary spell looks like a ton of fun, even if it’s probably not amazing in practice.

There is no doubt that shaman will be number 11. There is no viable deck for shaman and won’t be for a very long time.

in my opinion for rotation predictions undead priest should be up at 2 or maybe 3 I don’t think it loses enough to lose relevance its very good and most of the important core cards are for march of lich king so it should get a mention idk if it will be a full shadow version still but its going to be a thing its like the best thing priest has right now it will do some serious damage once rotation happens

edit my list i forgot

1.DK all versions
2.priest undead
3.mage agro
4.paladin pure
5. rogue concoctions
6.DH naga agro
7.warlock imps
8.shaman totems maybe?
9.hunter big beast hunter?
10.druid hero power?
11.warrior riffs lol

Darkbishop Benedictus enters the core set, a lot of the shadow spells ran un undead priest stays in standard, and undead minion were introduced with March of the Lich King

I don’t see any reason why 30 cards aggro/shadow priest wouldn’t remain strong in FoL

exactly its got so much already and who knows what for the new set might get added to it not much i think but we will see

Yall are too optimistic about shaman, sure we can heal 8 and get a 3/3, but our rag still wont attack, and we will be overloaded most of the game, unless ofc, we play 0 att totems.
