Floppy Paladin about to be meta

So, let me take you through some nonsense.

Before the rotation, I tried to make a deck that could fish for Floppy Hydra. This involved the card Sharp-Eyed Seeker which states " Battlecry: If there is a card in your deck that didn’t start there, draw it." This did NOT work for Floppy Hydra. For clarity, Floppy Hydra states “Deathrattle: Shuffle a copy of this into your deck with permanently doubled Attack and Health.”

Now, I could accept that. It would logically follow that it did, technically, start in my deck. However, with the new expansion, I feel compelled to complain about this interaction.

The new card Dreamwarden states “Battlecry: If there is a card in your deck that didn’t start there, draw it and gain +2/+2.” This effect DOES work with Zilliax, which states “Deathrattle: Shuffle this into your deck.”

Now, I may not be a literary genius. But it seems to me that the only tangible difference is that a “copy” of Floppy Hydra is qualifed as being an original card in my deck, despite having different stats. Zilliax is the original card, and isn’t a copy as per the deathrattle, but does qualify as not having started in my deck.

This leads me to testing Floppy Hydra and Dreamwarden. Which made things interesting. Dreamwarden does in fact draw Floppy Hydra, which means the problem is that Sharp-Eyed Seeker is a completely bugged card, or Dreamwarden is a bugged card. I’ll let the fans decide which is the problem.

In conclusion, Floppy Paladin is coming to a meta near you.
