I’ve been playing a few games with Floppy Hydra and the first time it dies, it seems like Shard-Eyed Seeker can’t get it from the deck, I think it might be because of me killing it with Ravenous Kraken.
Nothing to do with Ravenous Kraken I have observed this bug despite not rocking Ravenous. Another thing possibly of value it appears other cards might not be able to retrieve it either. I can’t be certain but I believe it was missing when I tried to creation protocol on a small minion pool as well.
Edit: These cards can sometimes retrieve it which is why I know its somehow a bug.
Hi, I came to report the same thing. It may also be related to the 4 mana Chameleon buff that gives +3/+3 and a keyword/deathrattle. It’s like it doesn’t know how to handle both at the same time.
Nah, I didn’t use the chameleon either, to me it just seems like randomly it sometimes doesn’t add a copy to my deck.
As of today I’ve tried several combos, and it appears that Sharp-Eyed Seeker just doesn’t retrieve Hydra sometimes, no idea why it happens sometimes and not some others.
Ruins the fun! Blizzard please fix!
Those still playing him (I’m not because its broken) should considering watching the deck card count when he dies. I’m convinced he never gets shuffled in.
I’ve had this exact things happen, seeker won’t draw the Hydra but I’ll draw it for turn later on. Not sure what’s causing it but it definitely seems to get shuffled in
Just came to report this bug. I think it doesn’t register that a copy of the card is shuffled in, but instead treats it as the exact same card.
I think I have a potential, albeit convoluted, way to test this.
If we were to copy the card with something like Zola, play and destroy the copy while preventing the original from entering the deck, we can see if Seeker can fetch it.
If it can, then that means that the effect of Floppy is bugged and doesn’t count as copying itself under normal circumstances.
If it can’t, then it means Seeker is bugged as it should be able to draw a Zola copy regardless of the status of original.
Probably the easiest class to do this in would be Rogue since it can bounce the original Floppy.
EDIT:
Just tested it out, and Seeker was able to work with Floppy when copied via an effect that isn’t Floppy.
This means that Floppy doesn’t create a copy of itself, but just shuffles itself into the deck.
Also found out something unusual. If affected by Equality, Floppy Hydra’s stat doubling from the new health total of 1. It doesn’t register as a temporary debuff.
It’s almost as if they took the code from Immortal Prelate and modified it.
I’ve been testing this as well and Idk if this makes any difference but the weird thing is for me, that if you kill Floppy with a Kracken, the sharp eyed seeker WILL draw out a vanilla 4/8 “buffed” Floppy.
If a Floppy is “buffed” before being “destroyed” by the Kracken, a “buffed” Floppy will be drawn out by S.E.S. - Properly working.
I assume because the “original floppy” is still “technically” on the board" inside of the Kracken, would be my guess.
.
~ HOWEVER the main bug here is, if a floppy dies on it’s own, (even if buffed another way via various card buffs OR NOT) the sharp eyed seeker will NOT draw out ANY Floppy whatsoever ~ So even though Floppy is shuffling a “copy” (not originally in your deck) back into your deck, the Sharp eyed seeker will NOT draw it, even though it didn’t “Start there” ~ according to the Sharp eyed seeker (and the Floppy’s) text.
.
I’ve been doing a LOT of testing on this bug with both a Warlock and a Hunter deck.
Both decks have me buffing the Floppy with various other cards, IE; Bananas (Hunter) and Monstrous form (Warlock) just to see which Floppys are drawn out.
The Kracken instance stated above is solid, even though I’ve only used with the Hunter deck, since my Warlock deck doesn’t use Kracken.
I hope they can fix this bug because I really like the Floppy buff effect and in conjunction with S.E.S. makes it a very viable combo that can make for some really interesting decks including Hunter/Warlock/Paladin and even Druid.
Hey Blizz, PLEASE FIX!!!
blizzard please fix this its been a month
They don’t work? How can they leave this problem without any reply?
Bumping for visibility. This felt very bad in a game today. Totally ruined my drive to play today after encountering.
