Just so all know this old man will turn 55 on the 22nd.
I was hoping maybe I could get a tutor for Face Hunter to help me climb?
I’m at Diamond 6 right now.
I have never hit Legend in Standard.
Thought it would be a cool BDay present.
Any takers? (Shamelessly begs:)
Aggro Druid is actually more effective, but I’ll give you some advice.

To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone
Adapt and change this a bit according to the decks you are facing, this is just a general mix of multiple builds.
What kind of advice do you need?
I would still need a teacher. Interested?
Add me on my main account then.

Quite surprising, isn’t it.
I played Magic the Gathering far too long to interpret this thread title correctly. I was expecting some multiple draw into Capture Coldsalt Mine rant.
Lol I was as well
You are too modest.
You just need more confidence and loads of patience, if you only wish to reach Std Legend.
Other than that, just build your experience with each game played.
Masterful.
I’m at diamond six again think ill try again tomorrow
Decklists are quite a bit different in legend, so you might want to adapt to that.
Noted. Have to get there first, lol:)
Close to legend, I mean.
Well, hopefully somone will be on tomorrow i can learn from . Face Hunter seems to be working ok, I just need to get better with it.
I learn best having someone tell me what to do, and then seeing it in action.
Once I have seen a particular play work, then i remember it much better.
Learn by example etc.
Thats how Jonius taught me. He guided me through match ups, and then when I had played a certain class a few times, left me to my own and only interjected when I made clear mistakes.
I hit Wild legend once and never looked back. Did it eight or nine months in a row before I burned out.
I have a few gameplay examples for Face Hunter, but really the deck is self explanatory most of the time except for a few interactions and matchups. But I think I have lost to more mage decks than I can count, the replays of which might be very helpful for you.
I don’t consider myself anywhere skilled enough to tutor anyone (also, I’m not playing FH), but best wishes for a very happy birthday!!!
Happy B-day Mirror, I wish you the best climbing the ladder and face is the place
Idk if I’d make a good tutor. I usually play on tablet or phone so I don’t voice chat. Also I play at random times. I’d be happy to spectate and give some tips if we happen to be online at the same time. We can be friends at the least!

I think one of the best tips I can give is repetition with a deck really helps sort it out. Then you can start to understand what you need to do in individual matchups to get there. Understanding what macro gameplans are effective in individual matchups will really help increase your chances of winning. Once you understand those then you can start improvising and taking different lines depending on specific situations.
For those who might not know:
Micro gameplans are the decisions you make on individual turns. Your macro gameplan is how your overarching gameplan is put together depending on your deck’s goals and how your opponents’ deck’s goals/tools interact with you.
Ty everyone, I had some help with face hunter from Mogupop this morning, but We werent having matching luck, so We switched back to my old standby Ping mage.
I won a couple, then Mog had to go to work.
I lost one, then I won three in a row on my own.
I am now Diamond 5.
So; still not sure I can hit Legend with this deck, and Face or Quest hunter are really the only other decks I have available.
Hope I can get some tutoring. Even with WF mage I am missing plays.
The hardest thing for me when i play face hunter is that i tend to overthink things when instead i should be attacking face no matter what. In most decks i get caught up in the board but with face hunter you attack face at every chance and that can feel weird when you are used to control/combo decks. There really isn’t much strategy to face hunter, just go after face! You will be surprised to see yourself winning games ignoring the board but you put so much pressure on the opponent that you force them to play defensively until they die.
Insert ‘just go face’ memes here.
Seriously though, every point of damage counts. Be mana efficient as much as possible, but not to the detriment of goal number 1. Mulligan for 1 drops and other situational keeps (the 1/4 weapon is poggers against other aggro). Play to your outs, not to not lose (this means going for extremely optimistic plays if you are 95% guaranteed to lose). If you’re facing Mage, don’t save weapon swings, because Ice Barrier. From about turn 6 you want to be hero powering as much as possible. Do the maths on all trades (does this net me more damage in the long run, is the opponent going to make the trade for me, etc). Learn every removal card every class has, the likelihood they have it in hand, but don’t play around it all costs, be smart (if its a symmetrical board clear you’re expecting, don’t trade, stuff like that. Oh, and always assume Warrior doesn’t have Rancour. They probably do, but unless you pressurise, you lose anyway, so screw it).
For more specific advice, I’d need to see your plays.
Oh and most importantly, know when to concede. You’re playing aggro, which means potentially trading winrate for time saved.
Well i might try to do it with Ping Mage, though it would definitely be harder, I do know the deck better.
Idk depends on if i can get coaching.
