I can only roll my eyes so far into the back of my head to comprehend the sheer stupidity of the un-nerf that occured today
Yes it was the highest of highrolls but…
Finley on t1 → double Gnoll = 9 / 13 spread over 3 bodies on turn… ONE
I must say whoever coded that match to be hilariously unfair to whoever qued opposite my opponent deserves all the monies.
Put highest on this…
You need to start with a legendary, need to mulligan away any gnoll in your starting hand and finally draw both from the bottom of the deck, I really don’t see many rogue cards to justify Finley in the list, maybe trying to discover warrior spell but still a bad call for me.
In the old combo with the 1 mana spell at least you can run x2 and the card was awesome in almost any situation.

It’s basically the same thing as when they used turn 1 secret passage and got both gnolls back in january, but less reliable because the gnolls already in hand don’t come back at the end of the turn with the discounts intact.
None of the “early cards you actually mulligan for” return. Instead they become bad topdecks for the late game.
In short, it’s way worse.

In short this only works if you start with finley in your hand before mulligan so you can mulligan for late cards instead
Yes, and given that finley is only a one of, including it for the extremely fringe occasion when you both start with him in hand without mulligan AND gnolls are bottom 3 cards, is actively bad.
Comparing that fringe case to passage is like comparing a 6 yo science project to a real life space shuttle.
It’s not always about win rate tbh people are actually having fun now lol
even losing the kinda stuff I’ve done/seen is hilarious
This in wild? Cause I seen a few in wild today and they all are super weak.
