Then It does 12 damage to the players own face.
Gonna be hilarious.
shadowstep synergy
field contact synergy
huge tempo play
it’s 100% a rogue card
Warlock probably won’t pay 8 mana for a 9/8 when they can pay 1, but it might be funny to see this in a questlock trollden, heads they win, tails you lose kind of way haha.
It seems like a spreading madness stapled on to a 9/8 body. 12 random damage actually seems decent if your opponent has more minions, but being a rng card will without taunt when rag could do it mostly better might be risky.
It doesn’t have taunt and the 12 rng make it like a completely random cthun. It looks like it could be a decent hail mary arena card, or potential aoe body, but pally gets soft removal to steal stats for 3 mana likely making big minions even worse and rattlegores tiny.
I think it could maybe have fringe potential for trolldens or maybe played 1 mana in a alignment druid or maybe a desperate quest priest trying to get pseudo aoe maybe, but I don’t think it looks directly competitive unless maybe played for 1 mana in a alignment druid and even then the scrapyard collossus does it better no rng and sees no play over ward.
So maybe you’d discover the card from time to time, but I don’t know play from deck or hand. Is at least interesting pack filler tho.
JUMPING UP AND DOWN PROFUSELY
WE had aoe we had vanish dont know why we lost it.
It was a very good board clear that gives also value to the rogue player.
They removed it because they wanted to make rogue bad at controlling the board in an easy way (with one card only); they called it “class identity”
The game has changed id like some aoe back now lol.
Even warrior, a supposed control class by the same “class identity”, lacks good AoE cards
good luck finding one for rogue!
Ironically, hunter is getting a lot of AoE, which it won’t use because it can’t survive anyways, thanks to the class identity that denied healing/taunt
and also control weapons without the “immune while attacking”, even if they are clearly arch
Isn’t not having AOE supposed to be the Rogue weakness?
Rather like not having armor or heals is supposed to be Mage’s weakness?
The bleed through between classes is getting completely out of control.
I’m giving the title “Maddest Master of Memes” to the first player who completes Warlock Questline, then plays this when their opponent’s at exactly 12 health, hitting their own face 12x with it, redirecting all of that damage for the win.
I’ll bet they make an achievement along these lines:)
But 8 mana?
Rogues close out games turn 7 or 8. Why bother with this?
