Final 6 Rogue card reveals (Pirates)

Well, all I have gathered is that rogue is not subject to the same restrictions that other classes are.
Cheer up.

These cards are going to see play in wild.

all i know ill probably see a lot of "plundering " in wild with brann…

Rogue is actualy the most nerfed class in the history of Hearthstone, they do have a higher number of higher tier decks as well.

Rogue is the only “physical” class i play for real, the only thing i dislike in the class is Pirates(that are a significantly worst problem in Warrior).
It tends to have a bunch of combo decks with a high skill level that i greatly enjoy to play, it was also the class the toke me the most time to master and something i dont recommend to new players( is you stay away from brain dead pirates thats is).

The only bias i see the dev team have for Rogue is the protection of its legacy cards like Shadow Step.
People have been very vocal over the years saying that cards time is done on standard and yet here we are 10 years later.

Cards of similar power in legacy Mage core were nuked from orbit no questions asked.
Going as far as early hall of fame.

Number of nerfs notwithstanding, Rogue is the only class I know of that has
so many viable decks in wild.
Perhaps the nerfs it has endured weren’t very punitive, since at last count:
Rogue has:
Pirate Rogue
Mine Rogue
Miracle Rogue
Thief Rogue
Crystal Core Rogue

All of these are viable in Wild, and that would not be true were Rogue treated the same as other classes.

These new cards will work in more than one of these decks for certain.

Players can apologize all they want. The history of this game does not lie.

And Rogue can run practically anything it wants in Wild as a result of the many “nerfs” it has had.

These cards most certainly add to an already incredibly strong Wild deck, at minimum.

Personally I am happy they ignore that people. Shadowstep is core to rogue identity and enables all things rogue. The card is obviously tier S strong, but stepping battlecries isn’t even a strategy exclusive to rogue. Nowadays priest can play the same battlecry over and over with copy effects. Brewmasters are neutral… Shadowstep just does this better than any other card, but that is part of rogue’s gameplay. Moving it away from core would be a terrible decision for anyone (like me) that likes playing rogue.

Also, generally reddit is extremely clueless and filled with the worst takes imaginable. Ignoring Reddit and some salty content creators (don’t want to give names but we all know who) is 95% of the times the best thing you can do.

It certainly is, and it certainly does.
How nice that Rogue was afforded that luxury while other classes got playstyles completely stripped and then were made over into junk rng classes.

I think wild players need to assume that wild is an unbalanced mode. Devs have repeatedly said they don’t make design decisions based on wild. It’s impossible to do so. Rogue class identity is just extremely prone to get out of hand as time goes on and different sets accumulate. Similar thing happens with Druid. It’s not treated differently really, it’s just that a class designed around playing 1000 cards in a turn will ultimately be broken beyond measure if it can use any card in its history. Much more than other classes. Same with druid because it can spend 20 mana by turn 4. Other classes have different mechanics that just can’t keep up in wild.

Wild is just that, wild. It’s not supposed to be balanced.

You will for sure know more than me on that mode since i never play it.
I did say above that they also have more higher tier decks ,they get nerfed alot but maybe the quality of the nerfs differs and the cards remain playable in wild.

That’s what they said alright.
So I guess it’s just a happy accident that these cards make an already degenerate class even better.

Anyhow; these cards look great for Rogue players.

and I am tired of this game.

Well it´s just adding to a type of synergy that has had plenty of support in the past, so it´s naturally going to fit right in wild. A similar thing does happen with mage everytime they print new secrets support. I do think it may come a time when mage secret cards pile on so hard that there will be a tier S secret mage deck that just doesn’t let you play the game at all lol. I’m sure it’s not there yet but I can see that happening in a similar way than pirates.

Except they weren’t shy at all about nerfing secrets, were they?
The nerf to kabal lackey not only killed that card, it killed Arcane flakmage as well.

I can only hope we see the same remedy applied to rogue.

Any road. Apologies to everyone. I’m done here.
These cards will certainly see play in Wild and
make other classes existence even harder.

I think the same im a huge combo fan but that wasnt my point, the bias there is real.
Im all for retaining cards that are core to the identity of a class, just keep it consistant.

Kind of feels bad when on some you ignore the outcry and the others you dont under the guise “its to open up space for new cards”…
