The felbat when you have felbat portrait is not consuming any minions

The famished felbat has been changed multiple times, one time consumming minions, one time not consumming.
They changed it yet again this week so it doesn’t consumme minions anymore
Im getting really tired of going 100% demons build and not being offered anything demon related at all for either trinket…
Felbat it’s a demon and it’s not consuming any minions from tavern on him

Why they did that? It’s a demon. They just make you have a minion on the board that is low attack and hp vs other builds like quil, elem, where all minions are 1000/1000. They either make demons to strong or to weak
The idea is that you strive to have two of them on the board so that they work on each other. Throw in the t5 that doubles end of turn effects and you got a great big snowball effect. In no scenario outside of just not encountering another one, should you ever only have just one on the board for the rest of the game.
I think the questuon was not how you’re supposed to use them, but why they got changed
I wasnt aware it had ever been changed, as far as Im aware thats how its always worked? Same for the demon that pumps other demons when you take damage, you needed two on the board to get them to scale with the rest.
It did absorb
Then it didn’t
Then it did again absorb,
But now with trinkets
Its too good
So now it doesn’t
