Losing my way from Diamond 2 back to diamond 5. Feels so bad, man lol oof any advice on not feeling so discouraged when this happens?
I was at 1 win away from Legend once, when the last expansion was released I played Face Hunter for fast ranking, and at that exact time, the entire meta caught up and turned anti-face and I went all the way back down to Diamond 5.
Trying to take advantage of a new meta didn’t play out so well for me lol
Take some time, reflect on what is beating you, consider if you can make adjustments to your deck to beat it. Every day in certain brackets in hearthstone is a new meta, and thats just kinda that. If microadjustments arent the answer, take a small break to cool down and just keep grinding. I know dropping like that is pretty demoralizing, but thats the climb to legend. (I did hit legend earlier this month, i get how tough it is).
and Schyla, my alt account i was playing face hunter and found similar. That meta turned on face hunter REAL quick.
Normally I just take a break, usually before I get back past diamond 3. Any further and I just lay off laddering for a while and meme untill my motivation returns.
From what I’ve noticed it’s mainly just bad luck in draws for me with good luck for my opponent. A lot of close games. No conspiracy theories or blaming my opponents for my lack of skill. Just sucks to drop like that.
However, the new season starts tomorrow so I shall just try again next time.
Those days happen to all of us. What deck are you running out of curiosity?
I have 2 decks. Secret paladin and face hunter. I know. Not much diversity. I’m free to play so my choices are pretty limited at the moment. I just like playing aggro. It’s fun.
For what its worth, thats not a bad place to be. Depending on balance change direction, face hunter could be in a reallllly good spot, especially if people seem to still like playing warlock on ladder
I’m hoping they do. Warlock healing is insane but I still beat them with the hunter most games.
try not to lose all your stars in one go lol,
if you are on a more than 3 losing streak, better log off and try your luck the next day
i got to legend a few days ago and i had the same problem, while i dont know if you ill make it before the season ends, here are two advices:
-
keep grinding, it takes some effort from your part.
-
tweak your deck including cards that counter the other decks you are facing to, like the rat or the secret eater.
hope that helps.
Oh I did. This was over a few days. I’d lose 2 or 3 then log out for a few hours or until the next day. Then I’d try and lose 2 or 3 again. It was just a bad streak.
small tip: try queue in ladder in a time when there is most amount of players queueing. Less chance you ran into a uncommon deck or counter (usually tech’d against most popular decks)
diamond 3 below is whatever, but if you are D2 and D1 if the queue time lasts more than 20 secs it is not a good sign
I’ll keep that in mind. Next season I’ll try and stick with high pop times.
I feel you lol, I made it to D1 2stars in wild with even hero power mage this season. I’m stuck at d3 now
you can do it!, have faith.
Go play or do something else to get perspective. It’s a dogsht, toxic game, after all.
Same happened to me, except I was in rank 1. Fell to diamond 3 due to carelessness. Was in wild and got too stressful and have an attack of ladder anxiety, so went to play standard.
I switched to standard deck but forgot to switch mode, so used a standard deck in wild, and lost a few games in a row until I realised.
Wasn’t thinking straight.
you are in D5 on day 1.
in 30 days you will for sure be legend, unless you are playing like I do
