Note: This isn’t exactly a bug report, but I’m posting here because there’s no general feedback section.
I’ve been having a lousy time playing through the Book of Heroes adventures, mostly because of all the pop-up dialogues and animated banners that are constantly being shoved in my face. They’re mildly annoying the first time, and since they trigger every single time I start a challenge or reset a puzzle or advance a battle, the annoyance quickly builds into frustration and exasperation.
Moreover, many of them can’t be dismissed by the player. They’re effectively unskippable cut scenes, a cardinal sin of game design.
For example, Challenge 15/17: The Leviathan is an obtuse puzzle that requires a lot of trial, error, and resetting to deduce the solution, and the player is forced to endure 10 seconds of those those awful dialogues and interstitial banners every step of the way. This is an unforgivable waste of the player’s time and patience.
Blizzard, for the love of sanity, if you really must trigger these useless animations more than once, won’t you please at least give players a way to skip them? They make the experience bloody awful.
