Favorite and most powerful hero cards? Wild or standard

IMO Bloodreaver Gul’dan is still the most powerful hero card. Persistent life gain and damage plus a full board is well worth 10 mana and warlock has little trouble getting to that stage of the game.

Favorite? That’s a hard one.

  1. Jaraxxus has great voicelines.
  2. Galakrond, the Nightmare is in 2 of my favorite decks (Galakrond and Highlander Galakrond rogue).
  3. Rexxar has the most varied hero power and can be super fun with the new quest.
  4. Getting a random weapon and attacking with The Amazing Reno is hilarious. “Pew-pew-pew!”
  5. Some days you just want to hit their face with yours. Galakrond, the Unbreakable is perfect for that.

I’ll have to go with Rogue Galakrond on most days. It’s Reno when I want to meme, though that’s partly due to Mage’s ability to go full-blown RNG.

Side note: I’d love some Neutral hero cards. They would be more generic than class ones. For instance, maybe one in the mini-set which deals with honorable kills. Battlecry: trigger your honoable kills. Hero power: trigger a friendly honorable kill, your honorable kills triger twice, or something like that. It’s not a class identity and it’s perfect for the theme of Alterac Valley. Granted, it wouldn’t be useful much unless honorable kill becomes an evergreen keyword at some point.

Anduin is likely stronger than Gul’dan. Anduin ends games while Gul’dan prolongs them. But Tamsin could turn out to be even stronger. We just don’t have much data on this yet.

As far as farourite goes, my second place (Reno) is very far behind “Alternate gameplan in a card” aka. Deathstalker Rexxar.

The most powerful shouldnt even be a question ,Bloodreaver Gul’dan was just so far ahead of every other hero card.
Funny that Warlock yet again gets the best hero card of the set as for my favorite its by far Frost Lich Jaina and its a shame Dawngrasp is also 1 of the worst on this set.

Agreed. Dawngrasp is a piece of trash.

Anduim is strong inside a specific build. Gul’dan can be dropped into any deck. I have him in a deck whose only demons come from rifts so he sometimes gets nothing. He still wins games with board control and constant damage.

YMMV
