Hey,
I get 9-10 star every months. its not extraordinary, but I’m basically a diamond 5 / legend player every month.
I’m currently climbing after the reset, and some of my opponent do downright terrible plays. I can’t believe humans would do that. Play like casting bloodlust on an empty board. Or casting the 6 mana rez spell of druid on curve without minions in the rez pool. THIS bad. So I assume they are bot. I also met some shaman with rogue HP and rogue with shaman HP last month.
Yes it was really strange… They used Stonetusk Boar, Bloodfen Raptor, Bluegill Warrior, Knife juggler, Novice Engineer, Loot Hoarder, Mogushan Warden, Oasis Snapjaw, Senjin Shieldmasta, Boulderfist Ogre, Sunwalker, Core Hound, and some classic spells. Sometimes they used standard cards too. And then They just dissapeared so sudden like showed up. Probably they tested these as Blizzard bots until the better ones will be ready. (Which They are using now and we can meet with in standard lower ranks.) But this is just my theory. Their names are not showing up in the friend list as current opponent. This is the most easy way to recognize them, and they are not thinking on using cards, there is no wait time.
That’s so weird indeed. Most of these card aren’t in standard. Watching friendlist is a good cues indeed, well done noticing this. Yeah they tend to have instant play pattern, like they don’t take time to think at all.
I don’t know why we are meeting these, it feel like a lot of my match are bot while going through lower ranks.
Just had one again ,currently at plat 4 in the climb, and indeed their name don’t show in friend list as current or past opponent.
They’re capable of playing wild cards in standard, as their deck lists don’t have to be legal. There was a shaman bot playing rogue cards that took them a month to notice and fix.
I’m playing standard. I ended last month as diamond2 . I don’t tank my MMR, but I tend to try homebrew at diamond 5 or legend, as I enjoy the experimentation. Thus it’s possible its low.
Yeah, it’s almost certainly because you’re at D5, a rank floor, early on in the month after the reset where there are a lot fewer people at that rank than mid-month and combination of experimenting at that rank definitely would yield some bots.
Playercounter reports that there are approximately 200,000 players worldwide actively playing this game at any given time, indicating that a shortage of players is clearly not an issue. Therefore, I am puzzled as to why they have resorted to using bots for assistance.
