Using the hero power from Metamorphosis does not give Lifesteal.
When using Emo vs E.T.C. in Tavern Brawl I came across this. Discovered Metamorphosis from Taste of Chaos. I tried to use the hero power ‘Deal 4 damage’ with Eye of Shadow on the board, but it did not grant lifesteal.
That’s an interesting consideration. I do think it’s very possible that it’s working as intended. It’s intended to give lifesteal from your hero attacking, either bc you have a weapon or attack from a spell or other minion. It’s possible that the hero power is not considered ‘your hero’ or your hero ‘doing’ that. I think it would be a neat interaction if it worked that way though.
Still a problem! Doesn’t work. Lifesteal on any other ping creatures like Ball Hog gives lifesteal to the battlecry damage dealing aswell. or any other lifesteal spell. why it shouldn’t work for your hero?
When your hero is supposed to have lifesteal, the source of the damage from your hero should not matter. Weapon/attack damage + hero power damage + even any spells cast by your hero. Bug is that it only works for attack damage. OR the bug is that Eye of Shadow description is flawed and should point out that only your hero ATTACK has lifesteal. Either way it’s bug.
Because your hero and its power are 2 separate things whereas minions and spells have both effects written on the same card.
If this interaction is known for that long and has not change you can only assume that it is intended.
since no-one official has said it here, might as well be bug.

This happened to me today as well. They either need to rework the text on eye of shadow or have the hero power heal the hero.
