Exp vs gold reward

Once we get to lvl 100 in the quest line it takes 1500 exp to get 50 gold. If you’d like to play an underground Arena it takes you 9000 exp to buy 2 tickets to play 1 single Arena

On Mondays, we get 3 weekly quests totaling 6000 experience. If we have all 3 dailies at 1000 exp, that make 9000 exp in toatal

So all those quests on Monday is not even 1 arena run… unless your dailies are filled.

That’s extremely cheap.

In before barcode boy shows up yapping about so called scam patents and creating accounts to play Arena for free.

Arena wasn’t making them any money and they had to work on it so it was a net loss. They changed it to incentivize people to spend money on tickets. I’m not “barcode boy” but if all you want to play is arena then creating throw away accounts seems like the right way to go. I haven’t done it so couldn’t say if the hassle is worth the games you get. I don’t know how many arena tickets you get just for signing up or what hoops you have to jump through to unlock arena.

I presume that person is buying accounts from China that have lots of gold saved up. Sounds like you’re F2P so that might not be an option for you.

It is a silly way to go about it. If players despise the current arena system, then do not play it. Is it scummy? Then don’t play it. It took many voices for them to understand the rewards at the beginning of the revamp was not enough. I am sure that if many players stopped playing or voiced more concerns on the arena system, they will hopefully make a quality update for it.

But making barcode accounts to cheap out on measly $4 dollars per run does not solve the problem. If anything, if Blizzard sees continued engagement in Arena they are going to assume that the reward structure is just enough or right to justify players continuing to engage with it.

My comment was more geared towards that one barcode user who refuses to refut their points about an outdated source. And insists that what they are doing is toppling the Blizzard empire. When in reality, their actions are very minute in comparison to other profits that Blizzard receives from other avenues within Hearthstone.

No disagreement here.
