After using Evocation the unused spells get discarded at the end of the turn. When You have Aluneth - You will still burn Your cards instead of getting them into Your hand, because the spell discard is not taken into account. So it looks like You discard the unused spell cards but not for Aluneth

you likely played aluneth before evocation, so the sequence of actions during end of turn would be aluneth drawing cards, evocation then discards the spells generated

When multiple effects trigger at the same time, they resolve in the order put into play.
Both Aluneth and Evocation are End of your turn triggers, so they resolve in order.
Yes, I played Aluneth before Evocation a couple of rounds ago. But what bothered me that the discard (Evocation) animation triggered before drawing the cards (Aluneth). So the animation is in reverse. Morever the hand looked like it was not full. but still the cards got burned despite of that. Thats why I decided to write about this. Hope this still counts as something usefull for You

When you say “cards got burned”, this is from the Aluneth draw? Do those overdrawn cards show in the battle log on the left?

Ok it seems that You were right. Aluneth triggers first. Then it picks the 1st card. At the same time Evocation is discarding cards. Afterwards the 2nd and 3rd card is drawn and burned (0:50). This gives you an impression that Your hand is not full but actually the animation time of drawing & burning cards after the discard is a little bit misleading. EDIT: Just found out that the same problem occurs when You play Voracious Reader.
You will not get cards from it after playing Evocation.
