Event - 'Play 5 "Choose one" cards' quest can't be completed

The quest says ‘Play 5 “Choose One” cards’ and does not specify where should they be played. However, it looks as it only counters traditional Hearthstone (or Ranked Standard particularly) as I played a lot of games of BGs today and it’s still 0/5.
