ETC rush attack

On the E.T.C., God of Metal card it states “After a friendly RUSH minion attacks, deal 2 damage to the enemy hero”.
I have been playing against the card for quite some time, and I am not at all anoyed by it except when I lose to the combo. But who is not anoyed when losing a game?
My problem is what it states on the card. Either I missed something, or something weird happened. I played a guy who got to copy 2 of them and starts dealing damage. I coul not clear the board so they came into the second round too - the problem here is that they kept dealing damage to my face. And none of the minions seemed to be with rush. Either I missed something - or the statement on the card should write that it is on friendly attacks?
Can someone please tell me that I must have missed something in the matchup? and that it doesn’t go for every attack a friendly minion does?

Merry Christmas to everyone - and thank a lot

Your opponent played animated broomstick which gave his other minions rush

And that was my thought and the obvious - unfortunatly I cannot find back to that.
But can you explain to me if the minions keeps rush forever? My thought was always that rush only affected the turn it was either applied or cast

It is forever. You can experiment with this by giving a non rush minion rush, and then copying it. The copy will have rush even if you gave it rush the turn before.

Once a minion is given an effect, it retains it until silence or removal.

All single-turn effects specify “for this turn” or something similar.

Yeah Rush is a keyword some minions have or gain. ETC checks for that keyword and deals damage every time a minion with it attacks.

Thanks a lot for the answers - so if not killed by ETC the first round - make sure they are dead by the second :)…
Merry christmas to all of you

You’re confused because a minion having rush is redundant unless it’s on the turn they were summoned or a synergy.

But it’s the same of giving a minion WindFury.
The minion gonna still able to attack twice any turn after the buff because it’s now his hability.

Unless a card say that there is a condition or a time limit to the buff/debuff it stays forever.
