Blood of G’huun, Ignite, Elwynn Boar, Garrote, Academic Espionage, Celestial Alignment, Devolving Missiles, etc…
Feels like every set, Epic cards keep getting more and more powerful to the point where now, most Epic cards are more powerful than close to 80% of all Legendary cards.
This power creep is getting insanely out of hand.

I feel like most or all of those cards would be awful if you could only run one of them. Especially Elwynn Boar.

Why do you assume that’s the only alternative? How about instead of making Epic cards Legendary, they just nerf the Epics or buff the Legendaries?

Because that’s the only other option. Either the legendary cards, which are the hardest, most expensive cards to get, are the strongest or cheaper, easier to obtain cards are stronger.
If they nerf the epics or buff the legendary cards so that legendary cards are the strongest that makes the most expensive, most difficult to obtain cards the strongest.

Back in my day, it used to be that epic and legendary cards were just more unique and harder to use. Not powerful. Nowadays both are pretty strong, which could be the cause of dissatisfaction in the player base, because needing them makes the game more expensive. Imo, just make both epics and legendaries trash like they used to be, so that people won’t cry over them.
They had the right idea the first time. It’s literally in the name, LEGENDARY.
A LEGENDARY card should absolutely blow everything else out of the water, otherwise the name isn’t justified.
Bringing epics up to legendary-tier power just makes legendaries worthless.

It’s still a 2-cost 4/4 creature, so yeah it’s better than any other 2-cost minion from his set. The battlecry just makes him balanced within his own set.
