Enable bluetooth and connect to airpods automatically enable in-game sound

I usually disable all in-game sound. But every time I connect to airpods, in-game music and sound effect are enabled automatically, with a pretty high volume. I just got my airpods so not sure if it’s an old problem.

Hi Baina,

You’re not alone with this issue.
Initial problem seems to have started with Hearthstone Version: 18.6.0.63160
But the issue is persistent.

I usually listen some music when playing hearthstone, and I have disabled the volume game.

But I recently noticed that when I switch to a different output device, the game sounds and music are playing.

If fact, checking the setting in the game, I can still see the Master volume still down . To fix it, I need to touch the Master Volume level in the game setting and set it back down to the minimum.

This is happening in every way I switch my devices:

  • Internal speakers => Headsets
  • Internal speakers => External Speakers
  • Headsets => External Speakers
  • Headsets => Internal speakers
  • External Speakers => Headsets
  • External Speakers => Internal speakers

Could you please fix this annoying issue?

Running HS on macOS Catalina 10.15.7
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)

The problem is still present in HS Patch 20.0.77662

Please fix it.

Still a problem. My ears are still ringing from the extreme loud ‘welcome!’. Thanks for fixing if possible.

This is still a very annoying problem. However, I am not sure it is Hearthstone specific, as I get the exact same proablem in Marvel Snap. If anyone found a solution, I’d greatly appreciate hearing it.
