Everyone will play zerg dk and vomit out 1 mana 8/8s and 10/10s and 14/14s on turn 5.
Everyone else will play ultra control decks that counter the zerg decks. None of the new interesting cards will see the light of day.
They have said they’ll nerf the miniset.
There will be a balance patch before the new expansion releases. Also because of the card rotation classes like Death Knights will lose a number of important cards which make the current Zerg deck so strong.
What are you talking about? None of the cards rotating from DK’s core set are played in Zerg… or any other DK decks… I kid, there are no other DK decks played
You missed the post where they basically said that everything is getting nerfed before rotation. Joachim is correct in that two of the big enablers for Zerg DK are rotating out. It’s going to be harder to scale up the aura significantly.
Regardless of that i am betting the whole Zerg playstyle changes. I am betting they change it from an aura to a one time buff to hand deck and/or in play. The aura is far to strong to leave in place and not consistent with how Hearthstone is played out. It’s also the cleanest way to keep the deck playable but not have to hit too many cards.
Along with the core rotation, the 2023 expansion pool (festival of legends, titans, badlands) rotates aswell in 2 weeks.
Most of the deathrattle enablers that are part of zerg dk like yelling yoddler, death growl and mosh pit plus reska will rotate. Brittlebone buccaneer will still be around but I doubt it will be enough to keep zerg dk alive by itself.
Then i want my gold back
another one pretending to be a psychic and know how the nerfs will impact the meta before the patch notes release…
Fair point mate. i just saw the nerfs and im actually kinda happy with them. I hope that we dont see the same decks in the next expac for sure.
I stand corrected, didn’t notice Death Growl on the rotation list (not that I was paying that much attention to it).
The current iteration of Zerg DK i.e. frost is dead, without a health buff it would be dead even if no card rotated. People might try handbuffing, we will see.
Frost is dead. No way it stays relevant when stuff like leech dk will be around (new expansion archetype). Blood runes have handbuffing spells, something that I already tried in the blood variant of zergs and from experience its extremely slow even for now. Maybe that changes with the upcoming seemingly slower meta.
I mean, Leech DK will be probably as dead as Frost DK but I agree with your general point.
The blood version would have existed had the health buff stayed. By removing the health the deck is effectively dead. The change to Zergling might have been the only thing worth doing but that broken interaction is also gone.
