It’s difficult to understand what you mean but if you are talking about dublicate protection then this is applied to all card packs.
You won’t recieve more than 2 cards of common, rare and epic rarity and not more than 1 card of legendary rarity until you pulled all the cards of a rarity from the expansion the pack is from.

I mean I’m opening the packs and inside them I find duplicate common cards from that expansion
Do you own all the commons(2 of each, you’re not guaranteed 1 of each before getting 2 of any) from the set, it won’t upgrade them to rare/epic/legendary to full-fill the duplicate protection so once you have all they start giving duplicates.
This also doesn’t allow you to dust and guarantee re-pulling the card so if you dusted something it is already considered “pulled” and will just give random
If you already own all the common cards, then yes of course you will get duplicates.
Surely you weren’t expecting to get all rares and epics after you had collected all the commons?
No, I didn’t expect this.
except that when I opened the packages 2 years ago I first found all the common ones, then I found the duplicates.
now I find duplicates of the commons before I finish them all.
I’m obviously talking about expansion packs and not classic or class packs.
However, I think it’s just my problem and I need to check it out further.

That shouldn’t happen, unless you disenchanted those commons.
What packs did you open? Were they Wild or Caverns of Time packs? Caverns of Time cards count as separate cards, even though they have the same name as the original versions.
What do you mean by “duplicates” ?
do you mean that you get a third copy of common cards, before owning 2 copies of each common card of the same expansion, or do you mean that you get a second copy of a common before owning 1 copy of each common card of the same expansion ?
