3 our of 5 of my last allies just left for no reason. We were doing fine, barely lost turn 3, and, they gone. Same thing every time. 6k is unplayable without a dedicated partner. Gunna say it again: Duos can’t survive at this rate. It’ll just become a niche in an already dying game.

There’s a non-zero chance that your play is making your partners leave and you just don’t know enough to understand that fact.

I am 3.7k (I am new to playing BG’s, not very good and have little time) but have seen the last three straight games 2 v 2 by turn 5 after two teams quit. It is happening a ton in crap tier ranks anyways.
Edit: in a 2 v 2 and at my level 4 in the tavern and my partner didn’t spend his gold. He appears to be out.
You don’t even play the mode. Just stop. You’re making a complete fool of yourself. Play the mode and see. There’s literally no penalty to leaving when you are at 6k, so if you don’t get busted luck, people just leave, ruining the experience completely for the other person. Not to mention how much luck is already involved. No, I am not the problem.

My current partner just afk’d so I can’t even bail out without penalty though it is 2 v 2 so maybe I will still get points at this level?
You can leave after some time–once it gets the prompt that says they are gone. However, some people just sit there, afk, and make you lose points, just to troll. The mode is full of trolls and leavers. Yeah, if they leave you aren’t penalized, but they often just leave right away, so you make no progress in a game you could have gotten 2nd or even 1st. It’s a complete fight against the current.
Seeing your attitude towards literally everyone here, I’m sticking with the idea that your play might play a large role in your current troubles.
IDK, did you ever consider, um, making some friends? It would both help you climb and help you prove that your play isn’t the issue.

You can also have a lot of fun with randoms, the problem with these guys is that they genuinely believe they are superior, that annoying attitude is why people end up betraying and trolling them.

I have heard it’s not so bad from people that are good players and know how to cooperate.
I have heard it is unplayable from people who are, shall we say, somewhere on the wrong end of the Dunning-Kruger spectrum.
No idea what we are dealing with, but I made an educated guess to genuinely help.

Keep assuming things. It’s totally not the fact that there is no penalty for doing this to your partner.
Technically correct. When your partner loses the game they lose rank, so it’s not that there is no penalty.
If you can’t handle your teammate leaving/trolling you in duos, then don’t play it.
Go play normal Battlegrounds. Enough with these threads.

I just hit 5K with my friend and I’d say leavers aren’t super common from the games I’ve played. I understand losing rank isn’t much of a deterrent for malicious actors, but I also can’t say it’s commonplace in my personal experience.
It sucks that it’s been an issue for you. I’d suggest trying to find someone to team with at least somewhat regularly.

Obviously a few people in here are trolling you.
My personal take is that it is phone players. I have seen it often where they do not ping but highlight the card erratically. I suspect that phone players have issues and it is causing the problems. Obviously some people are playing in bad faith but the amount of it I am seeing is not from trying to troll, it is from something else and I can guess that it is mobile issues.
