What heroes and hero powers have worked well for you and which combinations have gone down in flames? What are the sets available to be drafted from in the offered card pools?
If you see a 4/5 yeti, pick it… That worked back in my days.
An Arena tip in general, but: despite that it’s an awesome card in regular Hearthstone, don’t pick Voracious Reader. I built my deck as aggro (sort of), so plenty of cheap cards (not specifically because of Voracious Reader) and in all 8 games I played so far (parking the run at 6-2) I was never able to get my hand to 3 cards, let alone less. And I didn’t exactly play careful with my hand, nor did I have bad hands. Whenever I drew it, it was just a dead card (next time I play for the Golden Transfer Students quest, I’ll just play it as a vanilla 1/3 if I have 2 mana without something better to play).
Went 3-3 as a Mage dressed as a Paladin. All my losses were due to big turn swings from Twin Tyrants. Strange to lose all my games the same way.
Warrior with rogue power. Always works like a wonder.
rogue is very strong simply because their ‘if you hold cards of another class’ cards will trigger much more often, and the hero power is pretty good as well. Hunter is a good combination with rogue for an aggressive deck.
Any class that can heal with the warlock hero power is good as well.
haven’t tried much else yet. good luck
Got 5-3 as Priest with Hunter HP but every loss happened to be against Mage with Rogue HP.
Priest, Hunter, Warlock. Go with something that has the spell removal with an aggressive minion set up. Avoid Demon Hunter since you’ll just have a bunch of crappy neutrals with a 1 mana Hero Power.
Mage apparently has a lower win rate relative to other classes, which is literally the first time in ever since this happened in Arena. Paladin is strong, but I feel like it lacks recovery in tempo.
I don’t usually pick Warrior in Arena. Rogue is always good, but I don’t play it much in Arena either.
