I wonder if the current state of Druid (and other decks) would be fine after some adjustment to Yogg. It’s a pity when archetypes die in a meta, just tune it down a bit will do.
And I’m actually seeing varieties of decks that eats ramp Druid alive (after Jailer’s jailed).
This is satire right? Please don’t tell me being a dirty high roller with miracle rogue is actually challenging? Or thinking ramping > disciple of eonar > drum is somehow a difficult play to make. The king of doing nothing then all of a sudden you lose was tony druid, and to no surprise that was a combo deck…
I am not referring to either the current miracle rogue with tentacles or to Drum druid; which are the two decks you commented upon. By miracle rogue I am referring to the deck based on graveyard and Drakka from last year; which was a pretty fun deck with a high skill ceiling. And by current ramp druid I am talking about the deck with Ignis and Fizzle that came up in legend ranks after the Jailer ban. That one is arguably the least skill-testing of all the decks I mentioned but still quite challenging to play. These decks have a demonstrably high skill ceiling, since they only become dominant at higher levels of play; where people know how to play them. Ramp druid is currently the best deck in the game by the way, and it’s not even close. You just need to know how to play it.
In contrast, there is nothing skillful in discovering or drawing a board clear/ removal and then using it. Most control players are so skilled that they play dirty rat on turn 2
