Dragons Battlegrounds

Is it me or dragons are really stupidly weak. I can’t even build it right. Only I find worthy is Red Whelps and Razorgore.

Tarecgosa is broken strong. There are multiple ways to build them…demon deathrattles, promodrakes, etc.

Don’t decide to play dragons until you get pieces that will allow you to scale to an endgame build, though.

Pyrospawn is the anti-mech/ds wonder card.

Nadina is the correct play, not kalecgos… Kalecgos is usually waaaaay too slow, but can be used as a supplement if you have time and resources.

I have been doing fine with dragons in many lobbies.

since the change to dragons only dedicated health booster (whelp smuggler) it is almost impossible to use dragons effectively at almost any point lvl not just 4500+ as giving dragons att isn’t hard but is you got 30 att and only 2 hp (i’m looking at you red whelp) u die fighting n’zoth’s spawn if u gunna use dragons u need to get to tier 4 or higher to get any real health into them. this is thanks to the idiots that petitioned to have the card , whelp smuggler, made weaker while if you look at it every other tribe can start to scale health and att from tier 1 or 2, i’ve seen more abuse by demons destroying the minion pool then i have ever seen by whelp smuggler as from tier 3 demons can devour the minions straight out of the pool and thats just one example if you ask me they need to redo the dragon tribe so that it can get some health especially as their end game isn’t much better than the other tribes even if you get a full gold board (done it still lost with nadina) and selwynn is right don’t commit at low tiers unless you either want the challenge or dont wish to win at all that really goes for most matches

I have a gameplan that works for me.

Dont buy the smuggler. Don’t buy dragons either until tier 3 when you can grab tarecgosa or bronze warden. Don’t stay on 3 though, go to tier 4 and stay there for three or so turns to get the promo+taregosa combo fully operational. Even without the smuggler, one promo drake and 2 tarecgosa add +14/+14 each turn, that’s bonkers. When you have a chance to get a gold, freeze it and tier up to 5 to try and search 6 for kalecgos.

So I’m just playing menagerie and if i see a t3 dragon, i grab it and consider going dragons if i can find a few.

Ysera is the same but hang on tier 1 first getting a golden chomawing before finding tarecgosa+promo.

This is the point here… smuggler is a bad minion and if one tries to build dragons that way one is busted out early for sure.

This is the point I made.

One doesn’t see some dragons in the first three turns and “go dragons” because there aren’t any really good ones until Tier 3 and even that requires a Tier 4 minion to actually scale into an endgame build.

Again, this is exactly why you take the strongest, best minions you can on the first five turns until you can find better pieces to start end game. Getting stuck “not seeing the minions you need” is usually only a problem if you try to pick a tribe before you find the end game engines for the comp you want.

this i realise but thought it was a good valid point, most games is almost impossible to pick builds before you have 7 coins unless lucky but yes menagerie works rather well, oh and yeah i am a dragon fan so my comments may seem one-sided but is still valid to the post, i just think that whelp smuggler gets over looked i’ve done and seen some amazing dragon build with her including a 2k plus chromawing with just over 100 hp. i still think that toning her ability into the ground was a bit of a f@#k over for dragon users but it’s just my opinion

If she’s still on your board on turn 10 you’re not doing it right because she takes away from the scaling that should be happening, which is solely based on the number of dragons on your board.

She’s not worth carrying past the mid game, so quite often she’s not actually worth buying at all.
