Playing against this deck is as bad as playing against mech rogue was. Oh look, a board full of dragons, buffed, and all it took was two cards to do it. And they can do it multiple times, easily.

Play priest, you can rid the golem dragons with one card.
It’s not our fault that you don’t put several board clears in your deck.

You have to read between the lines. VS Syndicate mentioned the reason dragon druid is tier 4 is because the paladin matchup is oppressive, and that the paladin population has seen a drastic rise. It would be much higher otherwise.

That’s an excellent point.
But it doesn’t change the fact that it’s tier 4 right now, does it ?
I tried playing dragon druid because it seemed like a fun deck to me.
Lose to priest bc outvalue/board swings
Lose to DH because they got a full board and 20 damage on t4/5
Lose to Warlock that has big minions to defend themselves and then bounce the heal thing
Lose to anything OTK really
It’s a fun deck but only really smashes minion based aggro decks or blood DK
Who gives a damn about tiers lists? Why is always about tiers lists as if that’s some end all be all indicator of how annoying and unfun it it to play against a deck? I don’t give a damn about tier lists. How hard is that to understand?

Hmm. rando mage with excavate cards atm. been stuck at plat 5 because I’m not playing some meta deck that’s on autopilot.

I’ve played some 40 card excavate mage. It’s really fun and every game feels different but unfortunately, the deck is weak. I played some with it in T1K but couldn’t break 50% win rate with it. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re trying to climb.
Your deck likely is not as good as you believe it to be. Instead of blaming the meta, maybe you should revisit what you are doing.
It is tier 2 last I looked at diamond ranks, which is the only thing that matters for most people here.
That being said, most of the meta would improve if paladin went down in power and or play.
The entire game would improve with LESS mana cheat and discover bull!##$%
