My opponent (standard match) had a Dr Morrigan on the board. He had a copy of her in his deck. He drew that copy and played it. There are now Dr. Morrigan cards on the board. There were no more copies of Dr Morrigan in his deck. He sacrificed them both. Her deathrattle says “swap with a minion in your deck”. When they both died they both summoned each other. How does this mechanic work? How can two cards summon each other when they aren’t in the deck?
Well obviously the first thing would be: are you sure there wasn’t another copy in their deck?
There are a lot of bugged interactions with Morrigan so I wouldn’t be surprised if this was one of them.
I once had one morrigan in deck and one on board, when the one on board died it dragged out the other but didn’t replace itself in the deck and when my next turn came, I literally didn’t draw a card. The game made it look like a new card came into my hand but nothing was there.
I don’t think the card is played enough for them to give a crap, I filed a bug report and never got a response.
Yes I am sure there were only 2 in the deck.
What do you mean he sacrificed them both? If they died independently then they would swap.
I have a pretty extensive experience using her as I put many hours into testing interactions.
I’d have to see the interaction to tell you exactly what happened.
I have played her a ton and I can tell you it matters the order of how they die. I have easily put multiple copies of her in my deck to the point that I made mages and warriors concede bc they just keep coming.
Those eleks have far more interesting uses other than ‘shuffle a bomb’.
She played a card that sacrificed them both at the same time. So I’m wondering how 2 cards summon each other when they are both on the board when they die.
Only way that happens is if they have more in deck.
Sometimes it’s hard to keep track because of the constant swapping and deck trackers also mess up the count sometimes. Guaranteed there was 1 other in the deck.
Even if there was 1 more in the deck they should have only summoned the one. I admit I can lose track in games but I’d know if they had 4 copies of that card.
You’re right, that’s a bug then and shouldn’t have happened.
Here is a link to the hsreplay of the match. Totally spaced posting it earlier. There is one point toward the beginning where they could have put 1 extra Morrigan in their deck. At least that I can see. If anyone sees something different please let me know. If this is a broken interaction it shouod be looked at.

Im sure you know what to copy and paste.
Not a bug.
The First Morrigan dies and pulls Elekk via darkest hour. The second Morrigan dies and pulls the Dr. Morrigan that first died via Darkest hour. The death of the second Dr Morrigan pulls the Applebaum via Dr. Morrigan DR.
Essentially you had 4 swap effects, two from Darkest Hour and two from Dr Morrigan resulting in 4 minions.
