The biggest mage problem is brann + kaeltas into denatrious or murderer.
Without these, you could at least feel safe while at 20+ health.
Why did they release kaeltas while brann was there with powerful battlecries will remain a mystery.
Kaeltas needs the double nerf of the old kaeltas, simple
I feel there are many classes in need of nerfs not just mage quest hunter druid and aggro druid as well the only way paladin comes in is if the power level drops.
This is the second post of yours I have responded to and the second where you have to inflate your opinion by starting with something like accusing complainers of just chasing a fad.
I for one have complained about Mage from day one. Its a class that either takes no skill to play or the skill comes from turtling to you get some cheap OTK combo or randomness bends the game in your favor.
Mage is uninteractive to play against. Mage relies too much on randomness. Mage can toss of the pace of play and make people play off tempo with their secrets. Mage takes little skill. Mage is just a problem class all around and many of us have shown many ways how. Your jab at it being the âfadâ was just that. A jab to inflate the rest of your opinion. The issues with Mage are not a fad. They are long lasting and have been here from day 1, thus why some of us have complained from day 1. It reaching tier 1 just increases the agitation from SOME folks. And that any time Priest or Mage reach top meta everyone complainsâŚit should tell you something about what toxic and uninteractive classes they are to play against. And id personally put Warlock right there with them.

Actually it was weak at first and then it got a buff i think the cards frm nathria gave it the final boost to be good maybe it doesnt need a nerf but i feel some nerfs are ok i want to emphasive i think at least 4 to 5 classes need to be hit to get us back to where all classes are level but i could be wrong.

Iv caught and respected your opinions. Its clear you are not just wanting the classes you play buffed or the ones you hate nerfed. Also clear you are not being unreasonable or judgmental like many here I intially accused. I mean you have ended quite a few posts with things like âI could be wrongâ as you said here and have also consistently wanted things nerfed that deserve it.

Edwin should be reverted for sure as a rogue main this wont change too much - i think -we wlll still be strong i dont play miracle rogue - this version at least - i really enjoyed octobot miracle rogue very fun and at least i have to clear minions to gain and advantage and fight for the board.
Agreed. I hear people saying Edwin shouldnt be nerfed because its not consistantly top tier. I dont know if thats true or not. I just know not just for me but MANY players its a frustrating thing to see turn 1-3 22/22 Edwins. I dont care if something doesnt define a meta or even is a huge part of it. You look at the entirety of the rest of board/card games and this type of crap is never tolerated. Only here do I hear people say âwell it doesnt define tournament/top level playâ. With any other game that game is rated down and often trashed as inbalanced.
I think there is a way to make things new and not the classic or arena meta with a decent power level without going over the top.
I honestly feel if we tone the powerlevel down and have more classes in the meta it will be overall good for the game.

Repeating buzz words like toxic and un-interactive dont make it true. I agree there are too many OTKâs in general, but that is not a mage problem. I take issue with mage haters like yourself. You slander the class and pretend it is logic. Calling magic toxic, maybe rune of the archmage is, but freezing has been a part of hearthstone since beta. Playing around it is very possible, maybe you donât want to but that doesnât mean it is not possible.

I keep pushing that id like to see seasons be playable after they are over. The way we currently have standard, wild and classic we would also have âretroâ as an option. We could go there to play past seasons that have went by but still have a lot to offer.
Each new season should ideally completly reset the games power level back several years. By the end of the season we could be seeing new cards that are more powerful than ever, because at least people who dont like the power creep could play past seasons where there was less power creep like 2018.
Doing this could also allow them to give entire years focus to certain classes or themes or keywords that need love and attention. After all ideally each season should have its own theme anyways, so if one class thats been underpowered gets a little extra love and attention for a year, it was needed if anything. This would also allow players to play past years that not just fit a style of play they like, but suited their class or just felt fun to them.
So far most others dont like the idea because they see it too hard to implement. I see it as the only option (I can see or have heard) to reset this games power levels and keep it each and every year balanced, fun and fresh. The only other thing iv heard anyone suggest that could work is massive across the board nerfs to countless cards. Which I think would piss people off even more.
Keep standard in its current format the same for wild but I think making classic a rotating format is the best way that way players can relive their faveroute metas
That would actually be another REALLY good solution. I still love the idea of having accese to all past seasons. But I get where thats a nightmare for U.I, balancing and a million other things. So making classic into a rotating format where every 1-6 months we get a different classic meta would make a lot of freaking sense too!

Only a fanboy would take someone saying something negative about a class as slander and react in such an over the top way. I appreciate you can recognize the problem with OTKs, but in general you are dodging issues lots of people are raising, making excuses and than chalking up other peoples opinions as pretend logic. Meanwhile your own logic is as simple as âjust play around itâ. Again the defense of every last hardcore/veteran player who doesnt want overpowered trash they rely on muted.
Yes freeze has always existed. But its never been this easy to freeze someones entire board turn after turn. Nor have mages had the ability to while doing so power up something like Dentharius or the ice spell we were all just talking about (frozen touch I think?. Nor have mages had the ability to mana cheat so much. nor have mages. Look im just stopping there because iv abundantly proven here you are not being an honest or cant be. You love the class and you love it so much it makes you act rude to other people as though you were knighted as THE keyboard warrior (mage) designated to the task.
Ill be muting you now. You are as toxic as the class you love.
See the issue isnât playing around freeze. The issue is â as many have accurately pointed out â that mage ABUSES freezing the game out by killing you with its hero power. You cannot outplay that. You cannot angle to not die to hero powers. You either play your cards out to try to kill the mage or you lose to their pressure. When you do, they freeze you, scale their hero power off of your frozen minions, and then 2 mana Fireball you until you basically die. Any time you mount yet another comeback, they have Reckless Apprentice to further scale their hero power & clear, Mordresh to clear & help finish you off, or the Denathrius combo to reset their life total & clear your board (or end the game).
It isnât a âfadâ or a âbuzz wordâ to make commentary about how stupid Mageâs play pattern isâŚ

He/ she has been at these forums for how long? They have seen the counter arguments. They just doesnt care. Thus why they sum up anyone complaining as slanderous, too ignorant to play around things, repeating buzzwords, or complaining as part of a fad. They dont have a leg to stand on and simply love the class, so every counter argument has to be an insult.
Jellypope is one of the few people again I created my account specifically to have a brief chat with and likely mute exactly as I just did. Actually I think he was the LAST one. I had seen them repeatedly talk down to so freaking many people disagreeing with them about Mage or other various balance issues. And not AFTER having a talk with them. Just instant hate and dismissal. Stealthing the forums doesnt let you mute the bullies. So creating an account seemed smart!
Should also be noted other than hero power that Mages again have a million ways to also do direct damage and to pump that with spell damage minions. And since they can freeze your board over and over and over for so cheap they have ZERO problem building up a few spell damage minons then popping you for a CRAP ton of damage with frozen touch, fireball or anything else on hand. And they generally do have something on hand thanks to all their discover effects. Even Mages playing decks reliant on random luck can pull this off from time to time its that easy.

Your defensiveness is pretty evident. Not once did you comment on the substantive part of anything i said, you would prefer to dwell on the inconsequential aspects of my post to try and take away from the fact that
1.mage isnt even top tier, the nerfs âa lot of peopleâ are bringing up would kill the class.
2. Freezing may be frustrating but the survivability is what enable mage to freeze constantly. Not having to do worry about dying, allows a focus on tempo.
Mage was always the premier from hand damage class. Hunter has recently took the lead in that aspect with quest and support.
Also, mage is far from a braindead class to play well. Entry level is yes, brainless and easy, but playing it well, setting up key trades and turns, playing around opponents swing turns, knowing when to go in or wait, all make the difference of winning and losing. There may be some slight rng with the skellys, but that is to weaken it slightly. (I have lost because a skeleton missed, it happens.) yes there are big pay off cards, but if you dont draw them in the right order they are much much less swingy.
MSIMagus acts like a child who is unable to back up his position in a disagreement so he mutes and calls the person toxic. I am willing to rationalize through every point, but if i see a mage hate thread, Ill call a stripe a stripe. Now maybe MSIMAGUS wants to give us their life story and account origin, but I was more concerned with the substance. Still think solid alabi, and MAYYYYYYBE dawngrasp could go up a mana, with a fee caveats.

You donât really get to play the âdefensivenessâ card after you go on a multiple paragraph essay every time someone (rightfully) calls out what a hot mess your favourite class has become, and what effect it has on the entire game.
This is categorically false any way you cut it. It is not only the third highest played deck at the highest levels of play, but it sports winning or even matchups against virtually everything that isnât Quest Hunter and Ramp Druid. Mage has been (and will remain so until they tweak Magister Dawngraspâs hero power) a top 3 deck since the expansion launched, and I genuinely do not understand where this sentiment of âMage isnât metaâ comes from when it not only has shaped the metagame but remains one of the best decks in it.
For reference, just check out the latest Vicious Syndicate report, filter matchup spread to top 1000 legend, and voila my sources cited.
