I recently got legend for the first time in wild by playing a tier 2 to tier 3 deck but some people have been saying wild legend does not count ? Does it take skill to reach wild legend ?
Wild is easier than standard but even standard legend became easy after the rank revamp.
Wild meta has a lower impact when a new expansion arises. There are decks in wild that still use alot of cards they played years ago(the number of such cards get even over 50% of the deck in some cases).
Because of this you have more time to learn your deck and you have more time to improve yourself against all the other meta decks.
You donât need to adapt to new things as much as standard players. But to say that wild legend does not count or is useless is madness and ignorance. Wild decks are stagnant but harder to beat and has all types of secrets and interactions that you have to learn in turn. If you get legend in wild, great job! You are a good player and probably you would easily beat alot of âproâ standard legend players in a 1v1.
Wild Legend takes just as much skill as Standard Legend.
But the most important factor for both is having the time to play enough games with a deck that wins enough.
Depends on the meta. That endless Ziliax warlock was easy.
Getting above Silver is an applaudable feat, I dont know whats above gold rank but to answer your question, Iâd say yes, unless you netdecked or more than half the deck are legendaries. Then you are just showing off your legendaries/plagiarizing someone elseâs work and claiming the wins as if you put the effort into coming up with the idea of the deck list from thin air.
Either way kudos to the achievement.
No difference tbh. Same skill required. In Wild games are just faster thats all.
Yes it counts. It doesnât matter what deck you used. Good job!
This games takes no skill, just time. I got to legend aswell, its nothing special. Its a casual game and that is fine.
Thank you man that made me feel alot better
Yes it counts. Congrats on hitting legend.
Your opinion and your experience is not the same for everyone. Would do you some good to remember that before posting things that make you sound like a not very nice person to talk to. Also your opinion is wrong. If it took no skill to reach that rank then even I could have done it with my non netdecks by now. Since I havent, that is evidence of both my lack of skill and the need for it to reach that rank.
Lawyered.
Well if you are unwilling to netdeck your basically sabotaging yourself. Its just part of the game. Being against it is the same as being against getting better, understand the meta or optimising your lists.
Skill is also a factor in the game but to âjustâ reach legend you can compensate a lot by sinking in enough time. That being said there is also the obvious corrolation between time and skill.
Clearly it doesnât take skill to reach legend in heartstone, know the basic of the game and play a good deck, and eventually u get legend. Iâm a legend player and so is friends of mine and noone of us played hs that long, for example from bronze 10 to diamond 4 took me 1hour with 2 bonus stars, and Iâm still new at the game as I donât play much at all.
So much ignorance in this post, Iâm baffled.
First, youâre stating getting above Silver (which is the worst rank in the game besides bronze but you canât lose stars anyway so it doesnât really count) is an applaudable feat, a rank I can get by playing the worst imaginable achievement decks out there with no win condition.
Then you proceed into stating that if you have lots of legendaries in your deck, it doesnât count ? When itâs been proven over and over again that having lots of legendaries is not correlation with POWER in this game.
And THEN on top of that, if you netdeck it doesnât count ? As if everybody else in diamond-legend werenât net decking the best decks themselves ?
So according to you, Legend only counts when you are playing a homebrew deck that has little to no legendaries.
Youâll remain a life-time silver-gold player with that mind set, you should really look at yourself in the mirror and blame yourself instead of blaming your lack of success on your decks.
Even if you win every single game from bronze 10, that would require you to win around 60 games to get there.
Youâre not winning 60 games in an hour, probably 10 at MOST and iâm being very generous, so thatâll take you 6+ hours, realistically Iâm sure you wouldnât be close to doing it under 10 hours.
Well i did it easy anyway so
How do you win a game in a minute for 60 consecutive games ?
Iâd love to see the replays.
Most of my games were done in a few minutes anyway
Youâve probably never been legend in your life.
Cringe
