Do you ever bm with emotes

I do in some very specific situations.

If my opponent got cocky earlier and bm’d me thinking he was winning, I will bm emote him.

If my opponent took ages to play every turns, I will bm emote him.

If my opponent played badly the entire game and ALMOST got to beat me due to rng, I will bm emote him.

Aside from these scenarios, I don’t bm.

How about you guys ? In which circonstances do you bm ?

I used to do many silly things. I still do many silly things. :grinning:

It is through HS, I learnt what the term BM meant.
From memory I never initiate any “BM”, but there are instances I let my emotion gets the better of me and react.

Nowadays, I try to not read too much into emotes and take it with a lighter heart as a “friendly” emote.

I probably should have asked this 2 years agl when k started playing HS, but, uh, what exactly does BM stand for anyway? I know precisely what CONTEXT it’s used in, but presumably it stands for something other than Bowel Movement!

Also, I usually only BM when i come acrozs big priest in casual

Sometimes I emote in a more friendly capacity, and I’ve often used the “oops” emote when my opponent makes an obvious misplay, though they’ve often oops-ed themselve first at that point. I often drop a “well played” if they manage a clear or something that I didn’t expect and I’m sure some of it comes across as BM. However…

If it’s clear that my opponent was being a phallus during a match and they wind up having the tables turned in them, I’ll happily rub a solid BM in their face before delivering lethal.

Bad Manners.

I don’t use emotes other than the occasional greetings or well played.

Most times I just squelch when someone is being a prick so don’t even engage in “hellos” when I have lethal very often.

I say well played at the end of every single match, regardless of what’s happened in it - just seems to me like a handshake at the end of a game in real life, just good sportsmanship.

I say ‘greetings’ usually at the start of the match, for more or less the same reasons.

I also use the ‘wow’ emote occaisonally if something really unexpected or weird happens.

I used to despise such behavior. But you know, it’s nothing illegal at the end of the day.

Still, there are matchups where I feel I must BM. Which is, when my opponent gets smashed by my homebrews thinking they’re world champions for being able to pilot their clean cut miracle priest or cyclone mage. Especially if they were the ones who started emoting in the first place. How cute

True BM is dragging your turns out and not going for lethal. Just leave them at 1 health and destroy everything.

I have on occasion used the threaten emote when delivering lethal against a particularly annoying opponent. Other than that I mostly do what the other person is doing. If they’re spanning emotes I’m fine spamming them back, but I respect that some people find them annoying so I usually don’t do them unless prompted (e.g. greetings and well played).

The exception is I’ll often oops myself regardless.

Yeah i can be pretty toxic. I BM with the occasional thanks at the end of a game vs a match up that i should’ve lost. Especially if my opponent was getting super lucky and I still manage to win.
Also if someone does a play that they think wins them the game and they start spam emoting thanks at me i’ll just rope them for the remainder of the match. Don’t emote spam me bro. You’ll release Mr. Hyde.

I had a game today when me as mech hunter vs a control shaman. At turn 5 I magnetised a 9/9 mech with venomiser and missle launcher inside, he can’t find a good answer on turn 6 but did a rain of toad to stop me from attacking. Turn 7 he found hex where he is at 6 health. He hex my mech and start emoting. Appears to me he likely have a walking fountain in hand for turn 8 to swing the game and get control from there hence he kept emoting. I top deck leeroy next turn. Well played him. Play leeroy and wait for him to concede which he did. So yea sometimes such BM feels really good.

I’m part of the reason everyone wants autosquelch

My emote “cap” is never not reached

I mean, emotes are only BM if that’s how you choose to interpret them. If you read into the usage of an emote and decide it’s light hearted rather than hostile, I find it’s less tilting and I rather happily spam back my own emotes.

So I mostly just emote in response to my opponent. Or occasionally a “That’s incredible!” if we witness some crazy RNG.

Nearly every game. It’s rather enjoyable.

Same

Nope, not me… unless it’s intended roping. Then I rope back.

I just concede. Trying to forget about it. No BM at all.

I like to BM against stuff like Big Priest, Jade Druid.

This only.

Reap what you sow lol.

Then they beat you anyways because you were cocky and thought they didn’t think it through.

Funny.

If you wouldn’t say it in person, don’t say it via emotes. Internet anonymity is turning people into jerks of the highest order.

Given that I’ve seen complaints about every type of emote behaviour, including complaints about the opponent not responding to emotes, I have no doubt that at least some of my opponents have considered what I’ve (not) done to be BM.

I consider that to be their problem.

I don’t do it unless I am sure I will win.

And the types to BM early are usually the ones to leave REAL SOON and not duke it out anyway.
