Diremuck Forager not triggering "start of the combat" summon

Hi,

I noticed that during a battle, if you are not the one that attacks first and if diremuck forager is near a minion that is attacked by foe reaper 4000, and killed, the “start of the battle” power, that summons a creature from your hand does not trigger. The card says start of combat, not start of your turn. This should be looked into it.

Unfortunately, I do not have a recording of it, I will try to reproduce it, I noticed it twice now, the first one was by being attacked by the collector of swords. Same play, the same outcome.

Either you were playing against Illidan and his hero power had the advantage over your start of combat effect and it’s intended
Or this was a regular attack from a minion which means the start of combat phase ended and you had no minion summoned because you had no room on your board

But I don’t see in what over circumstances you could have your minion attacked before it’s start of combat effect could trigger

If you and your opponent both have “start of combat” abilities, they do not all happen at once. They are triggered in random order, one by one.

It is possible for a “start of combat” ability to kill an opposing minion before it can act.

This is not a bug.
