Hello dear blizzard game masters, I’m having an issue with your recent update, i’m just gonna quote from it. 1,000 Win Portrait Rewards: “The time has come for dedicated Hearthstone players to flex their Hero mastery! We’re introducing new portraits earned by achieving 1,000 Ranked or Arena wins with each class. Wins earned before this update goes live will retroactively count towards these totals.”

I just wanna say i didn’t receive any of those THOUSANDS Arena games wins i have played, to count towards MY 1000 WIN HERO PORTRAITS, which makes me pretty upset to be honest, i have poured so many hours into this game, and Arena for years. Is this something you can fix for me please.

I have 3 accounts where i play alot of Arena, so if this is something you could help me with, i would gladly post those accounts to get my Arena wins benefits.

Thank you for contacting us, we received your message and I read it thoroughly!

You are not the only player that has reported he or she encountered similar issues, recently!

It would be best to add your report to the ones already sent to the developers, by creating a forum post about it. Here’s a link to the forums: battle.net/forums

Reporting a bug on the forums allows the issue to get additional visibility and further comments from other players, making it possible for our Community Managers to forward it to the developers.

As a potential workaround for this issue, in the meantime, try removing the Favorite status from the portrait, if you can see it in the Unlocked section but are otherwise unable to use it (this may or may not work, we’ve received conflicting reports).

Lastly, I would like to personally thank you! If our games are still loved and cherished after all these years, a great deal of their success must be credited to the community, which has always had a key role in their improvement! Your feedback is greatly appreciated and I wanted you to know this!

I’m not saying the portraits doesn’t work, I am saying i didn’t receive any of my previous 2500 arena wins, to count towards my 1000 / 1000 wins hero portraits on any of my heroes. And I already did make a post on the forums, so it is up to you guys to fix this, what you already promised the community in your update notes/post…

So my problem is still not resolved,
you promised previous arena wins to be credited towards our 1000 wins hero skins, so we are just waiting for you guys to fix this issue and make the players happy.

otherwise you guys still have some promises to live up to, according to your recent Doom in the Tomb Patch Update. to the community sincerely…

Thanks a lot for helping us with the problem you’re running into. Unfortunately we don’t have any way to manually change the numbers you see, please make a bug reporting post on our hearthstone forums about this so the developers will get the information from there as well as from me forwarding your report about it. That way they can look into your account directly with the report and find out exactly what’s going on from there. :slight_smile:

Arena wins started being considered toward golden hero progress back in March (link). But the wins do not count retroactively, which means only your Arena wins since the patch was released count toward golden hero progress.

In other words, this is the game working as intended.

even the game master i talked to agrees with me, so idk what your trying to accomplish buddy… but its not helping anyone.

You are confused.

The October 8 update you quote does indicate that wins toward the 1000 heroes would count retroactively. But what that means is that all valid wins before October 8 would count. The problem with that is that Arena wins have only been valid toward golden hero portraits since the March 14 patch I linked above. Which means that any Arena wins before that date do not count toward golden heroes (either at 500 or 1000 wins).

Again, not a bug.

Because your total Ranked+Arena wins (counting only Arena wins since March) don’t reach 1000 wins? Are you suggesting they do? Because that is not clear from your posts.

If you think I was bashing your post, you have a weird definition of what “bashing” means. All I did was point out how the situation you presented could be explained under the current rules for golden portraits, which would make the situation not a bug but rather the game working as intended. If you took it as me bashing your post, that’s on you.

Helping people understand why something is not a bug on the bug report forum seems to me like helping players.

Right. Because suggesting I spend all my time “bashing players” isn’t meant as an insult? I don’t particularly care if some rando online insults me (plenty have in the past), so there’s no need for you to waste your time (and mine) with faux politeness.

Like I said before, I’m trying to help. Based on what you said and how the golden portrait win counts work, it’s possible that you haven’t warned enough wins to warrant the newer portraits. If that’s the case, then this isn’t a bug.
