DH, too much in one class?

If you played enough games with that specific class, you will start to understand the design intent behind it.

If you refer back to articles on DH, and how Dev designed it and how they want it to be, you get a better answer to what you asked.

But, once you start comparing class, the inequality will surface as each class goes thru phases of strong and weak. DH being new will eventually go thru the same phase.

???
can you atleast tname the cards you are talking about

i havent seen any DH cards reveals so i dont understand where are the DH only battlecries DR dormant archetypes or synergies after all those 3 are something all classes can use

thx to neutral cards

and about class cards …mage and shaman have battlecreis dR and dormant too

shaman has weapons aoe and corrupt so the only difference betwen shaman and DH on your list is outcast and card draw so the “other classes dont” part is false and im pretty sure you know it

twenty characters…

I would agree with you on this.

They seemed to have narrowed all the other classes ability to do a little of everything. Then released DH class with everything. An having the ability to do a little of everything opens up multiple deck options (which this game needs)

that list has no coherent gameplan and synergies, and since you try to do everything at the same time you are likely to lose to both aggro, midrange, and control.

if you played wow you’d be even MORE angry. cuz they were just as strong as when they were released for over 4 years as their damage spec. and when they nerfed the damage spec now their tanking spec is just as broken. they have 2 specs in retail. one or the other has been totally broken op since they were released and it shows no sign at all of stopping. and they have the dream set up in retail as well. lol

I just tried a couple games with his list for kicks, it has no win condition. Sure the Elekk is cute, but thats about it.

Dh may not be a thing now but thats because every expansion it breaks the game and gets nerfed. The release of this class was just a mistake. Also, Otk dh is unfair to a lot of decks.

twenty characters…

There should be more female characters in HS. DH has such male overtones, it reminds me of Darth mal from StarWars (a failed concept). They have to run more control groups to validate the concept.
Having another hunter in the game reminds me of sports leagues that have teams with the same name (a failed concept).
Its time to retire DH to save the franchise.

PS. The next hero that is planed to be released this year looks like Jar Jar binks
“Mesa huntera frienda”

I’m sure several of the male characters identify as female, we just don’t know about it yet. So that shouldn’t be an issue.

There’s Liadrin, Tyrande, for paladin and priest. Elise sister was released last summer for DH if you didnt like Illidan.

Dual-class, added keywords for the Core Set all helps this.
DH have a little of everything because THAT’S it’s weak spot, inconsistency. That’s why it plays mostly Tempo and Aggro, the archetype most classes can build (but not as well as a few classes).

The only thing the class doesn’t have is the ability to buff their board/minions (similar to Power of the Wild or Spikeridged Steed). Their best draw engines are the best draw in the game, period.

To be fair, Paladin has been a very inconsistent class but has more than one viable archetype and it does have very blatant weaknesses like card draw and removal

DH, when Blizzard was building it, had the power of hindsight truthfully. To me it appears they took many of the lessons learned from the other classes and built DH which made it OP when it came out and had to be nerfed to the ground. The problem wasn’t so much DH though its that Blizzard didn’t do the same with the other classes. They probably should’ve waited to release DH with the changes coming in the new year. It probably wouldn’t have felt quite so OP as it did.

all the classes had plenty of nerfs, about the same amount as DH, in the months after the game was first released.

My point is its essentially impossible to have a “balanced” and diverse meta compared to other card games. It’s not the number of nerfs that matter in the long run. It’s that is it feasible to say balance warrior against the other classes and then step through each class doing the same thing? Adding DH made it that much more difficult to attain balance.

i havent seen any DH card reveals yet

so i think DH still doenst have hard removal or direct face damage spells (like fireball)

Played 1 game today in standard,Yep demonhunter.
And i immediatly remembered why i havent played a game for the past 3-4 weeks.
The whole class just has to be removed, its such dumb and uninspiring gameplay. Not fun at all.

Like they just play their cards and go face with every single attack and then they either get there or not,its so incredibly boring.
