I’ve been playing i guess about 7 years now? STD had been declining and I just don’t understand the developers infatuation with Arrgo decks? I mean if that’s what you’re going to focus on year after year why have the other cards and classes? You nerf everything but those types styles, every year.
The last balance patch included nerfs to Raid the Docks and Pufferfist. The second Alterac balance patch included nerfs to Thief and Poison Rogues. The first Alterac balance patch nerfed Irondeep Trogg and Alliance Bannerman. The patch before that included a nerf to Aggro Taunt Druid. The patch before that nerfed Aggro Shadow Priest.
Aggro was nerfed in five out of the past five balance patches. So which is it: do you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about, or are you lying?
I was think a topic along the same line where we can explore the role of each deck type from the dev standpoint. e.g. aside from player’s preference
Aggro - provide a cheaper alternative probably for f2p and new players?
Mid range - ?
Combo - ?
Control - since usually the build cost is higher, it may co-relate to drive higher sales?
Good discussion?
If you really believe they do things like this, then you should quit playing.
But not to worry, they don’t.
Fact: a bad deck can lose on turn 5-7 even against a non aggresive deck.
What are the decks you consider aggro?
I don’t think the meta is full with aggro decks, in fact they are way less popular than in the past.
This is the first time since DoD that I think you can climb with many midrange decks with success (or even control)
While it is not a direct indicator to drive sales, it can be an associated drive.
You can input your answers/reasons, and sounds less intimating.
I’m not patient with tin foil hats.
The nerfs did not remove the underlying issue of bad design. Pirate Warrior and Pirate Rogue both have top end payoffs. One is far easier to complete reliably than the other. The Warrior Deck plays itself winrates aside.
